Mother-ease Sandy’s Diaper and Air Flow Cover-CLOSED

Since I’ve recently had my first experience with cloth diapering, I have begun to investigate the many different brands and styles of cloth diaper that are available. Like many other mothers who have considered making the switch, I can’t help but find myself overwhelmed by the huge variety of diapers available today. Different materials, different colors and different systems abound, but I find that the many choices actually make finding a diaper that fulfils my specific needs a bit more of a challenge.

One of my biggest requirements in a diaper is leak protection. Benjamin is a heavy wetter and I was definitely getting tired of changing his clothing almost every time I changed his diaper. Fortunately, Mother-ease diapers are specifically designed to provide a completely leak-free cloth diapering system that is also convenient and easy to use. I was fortunate enough to be given a chance to test the Mother-ease system for myself.

mother-ease sandys diaperI received a small Sandy’s Cloth Diaper, a small Sandy’s Absorbent Liner and a medium Air Flow Diaper Cover to review. The Sandy’s Diaper System uses only two sizes of diaper in a variety of color and material choices to easily and effectively cloth diaper a baby from birth to 35 lbs. The diaper’s extra absorbent core makes it a great choice for heavy wetters, while the triple layer liner provides extra protection for naps or nighttime. It sounded like the perfect combination for Benjamin.

The first thing I noticed about this diaper was its adjustability. With modifiable front to back side snaps at the waist and leg openings, customizing the diaper to perfectly fit my baby was incredibly easy. I positioned the liner in the diaper and snapped it on Benjamin just before bed. The Air Flow Diaper Cover I received came in an adorable savanna print, part of the new Eco Theme line. It featured the same adjustable snaps as the diaper with innovative side vents to encourage air circulation and increase comfort. I snapped the cover on over the diaper and put Benjamin to bed.

The next morning, the bed was completely dry and the diaper was completely soaked. The diaper and Air Flow cover had successfully protected Benjamin for a full eleven hours! I haven’t yet found a disposable diaper that can fully prevent leaks for that length of time, but the Mother-ease system had shown that it was more than up to the task.

mother-ease air flow diaper coverI was thrilled to have found a cloth diaper that was able to keep my baby dry overnight, but I was also curious about how the diaper would withstand other messes. When Benjamin soils a diaper, he doesn’t fool around! After countless clothing changes in the middle of the day and more than one permanently stained outfit, I was eager to see if the Mother-ease diapers could solve that problem as well.

The Sandy’s Cloth Diaper features soft gathers of elastic around the waist and legs, which help to ensure the snug fit needed for a leak proof diaper. When combined with the elasticized waist and legs of the Air Flow cover, the diaper offers double protection against leaks of any kind. The first time Benjamin soiled the diaper, I was ecstatic to see that it had successfully contained every bit of the mess and had left his clothing immaculate. Disposables had shown themselves to be completely ineffective at preventing soiled clothing, but the Mother-ease system had once again proven its worth.

Mother-ease also carries One Size diapers, All In One diapers, training pants and accessories such as diaper pails and wet diaper bags. Their fantastic and informative website includes a wealth of cloth diapering information including a cloth diapering forum and instructional videos so that parents have all the knowledge they need to easily and successfully choose cloth diapers.

In the past, I had often avoided putting Benjamin into certain outfits for fear of them becoming stained. With the Mother-ease diapers, I can confidently choose Benjamin’s clothing knowing that I will neither ruin it nor have to change his outfit later that day.

There is no question that raising a baby can be a very messy business. But with Mother-ease diapers, choosing to cloth diaper your baby is as convenient and mess-free as possible. If leak and mess protection is a priority for you, there is no better diaper choice than Mother-ease!
