Now that my preschooler Zackary is old enough to participate in group activities, I have discovered just how many items must accompany a child to his various extra-curricular activities. Of course, it wasn’t all that long ago that I was the kid running off to play baseball or acting in the school play. But as a parent, I have quickly learned that if I want the things I send out the door to come back again, I have to use my own vigilance. Zackary is a wonderful child, but in my opinion, no preschool kid could ever be expected to think about whether or not they have their water bottle when they leave the park.
Stuck On You knows how frustrating a child’s disregard for his belongings can be, and their beautiful and durable labels help to solve the problem of disappearing items for good. With labels designed for everything from clothes to shoes to toys, Stuck On You stands as the first line of defense in the war against the inevitable forgetfulness of children. I couldn’t wait to give some of their wonderful products a try.
I received a fantastic assortment of personalized labels to review that included Clothing Dots, Vinyl Labels, Shoe Labels, a Bag Tag and a beautiful height chart. All of the labels Stuck On You offers are designed for the wear and tear of a child’s active lifestyle, and the bright colors and designs make them a guaranteed favorite among children. I couldn’t wait to see if the labels stood up to Zackary’s high-energy routine.
The first product I tested was the Clothing Dots. These adorable labels are permanent clothing transfers available in a variety of colors and shapes. The Jungle Animal themed labels I received were about the size of a quarter with each label featuring one of six different animals. I let Zackary choose two labels and prepared to apply one label to each sleeve of his favorite t-shirt.
When I peeled the labels off, I was surprised to discover that they weren’t tacky like a sticker. I was happy to have the chance to position them in the perfect place without worrying about them adhering in a place I didn’t want them. While I positioned the labels face up on the sleeves, I had the dry iron heating to medium-hot. After getting the label just right, I carefully covered it with the included parchment paper and slowly ran the iron over the paper-covered label for ten seconds. When I removed the iron and parchment paper, the label was slightly lighter in color and firmly affixed to the sleeve.
Since applying the labels, I have washed and dried Zackary’s shirt at least half a dozen times, and the labels are still clear and visible with no color fade. I especially loved the size of these labels; they were big enough to look great on a shirt, but small enough to also look great on Zackary’s soccer socks. Since I know they can stand up to repeated washings, I’ve made sure all of Zackary’s favorite clothing has Clothing Dots. For those that prefer a less permanent option, Stuck On You also offers peel and stick clothing labels.
The microwave and dishwasher safe Vinyl Labels I received were sturdy rectangular labels from the new Designer Collection in the bug mania theme. About the size of a small address label, these bright and beautiful labels were an instant hit with both Zackary and myself. I loved the colorful blue, red, yellow and green shades of the labels that helped Zackary’s name to stand out. Zackary loved the cartoon bugs depicted on each label, and happily referred to them as his “monsters.” We headed outdoors to label his backyard toys and see how the Vinyl Labels stood up against the elements.
“I want the blue monster for this one,” Zackary would inform me as he brought me a toy. “I want the yellow monster now.” He had a wonderful time choosing the labels that would be applied to his much adored construction vehicles. The labels were a nice thick vinyl that I knew would be incredibly resilient. The month of May has been less than fantastic in southern Saskatchewan, and the poor labels have had to withstand everything from rain to hail to snow. But sure enough, over a month later, the labels are still right where they should be and look as good as new. The durability of the Stuck On You labels was definitely not exaggerated!
Stuck On You’s Shoe Labels are designed to fit inside the heel of a child’s shoe. To ensure that the child’s name will not fade or wear off, the labels come with a clear protective label that is applied over the colored label for long lasting durability. Zackary was thrilled with the small backhoe icon on each of his shoe labels.
I decided to put labels in Zackary’s sandals, so I carefully pressed gray labels into the sandals, and then carefully positioned the clear plastic labels over the colored ones. The labels looked great and the protective cover has kept them looking like new even in footwear designed to be worn with bare feet. Since they worked so well in the sandals, we decided that we had to use them for Zackary’s soccer shoes as well. I gave my husband a bright red pair of labels and a set of clear covers and explained how to apply them.
He came up to me a few minutes later and said, “It’s hard to position the clear label over the covered one in that little tiny shoe! So I just stuck the clear label over the colored one before I put it in the shoe.” He showed me the clear-covered label in his hand. “Of course!” I thought to myself. “Why didn’t I think of that?” Applying the clear cover to the colored label before it went into the shoe definitely made the shoe labels easier to apply.
The Stuck On You Bag Tag is large and round for easy visibility with a soccer ball on one side and Zackary’s name on the other. The wide tab at the end of the strap slips through the narrow slot on the tag to attach it to Zackary’s backpack. The durable recycled plastic the tag is made from ensures that the Bag Tag stays securely fastened no matter how much Zackary throws his bag around.
The final item I received was a gorgeous height chart for Benjamin from the Designer Collection. The chart featured the Traffic Jam theme and depicted red, blue and pale yellow cars on a neutral beige background that is perfect for any décor. The large red double-decker bus at the bottom served as the focal point of the chart with Benjamin’s name printed across it. I absolutely love this chart, and I know that it will be a treasured heirloom for many years to come. In fact, I was so impressed with this beautiful height chart that I hung it up in our bedroom beside Benjamin’s crib because I decided I just couldn’t wait until he moved into his own room to start using it.

The beauty and durability of the labels I received from Stuck On You truly is unbelievable. I am amazed by how bright and perfect every single label has remained.
