Is there anything worse than pulling on a brand new top or a cute pair of jeans only to realize that you are showing off just a little too much of your midsection? I managed to get through my first pregnancy without any extra weight around my middle, so exposing my stomach wasn’t something I worried about. After the birth of my second child, however, I found that I was ten pounds heavier than I had been previously, and every single pound of that extra weight seemed to have settled permanently around my middle. Needless to say, many of my favorite outfits don’t look quite so great anymore, so I was very excited to review the hip-T, a fabric hip wrap designed to cover the midsection and prevent unexpected exposure.
I received the black hip-T in a size medium to review. The first thing that I noticed about the hip-T was the fabric. The cotton material contained just a bit of lycra for stretch and was such a nice, thick knit. The tube of fabric was slightly curved to fit smoothly and comfortably around the midsection. I slipped the hip-T over my head and positioned it around my hips before pulling on a cute black tank top that tended to ride up just a little too much.
The tank top looked great, and I was able to enjoy my day without worrying about my extra weight bulging over the top of my jeans for the world to see. I was especially impressed by the perfect size of the hip-T. At only eight inches long, it was an amazing lightweight choice for summer because it gave me the coverage I needed without adding any unnecessary bulk.
The hip-T did a wonderful job of making my too-short shirt functional again, and the great basic black color meant that it worked with almost every outfit in my wardrobe. After washing and drying the hip-T repeatedly, I was happy to realize that it maintained its great sleek look with absolutely no pilling!
The hip-T is available in a wide assortment of colors and prints to co-ordinate with any outfit. Even better, it boasts a great multifunctional design since it can also be worn as a tube-top over a bra and underneath low-cut shirts to conceal cleavage and hide bra exposure from too-large armholes.
I absolutely love my hip-T and am so happy that I can wear so many of my cute shirts again. I may have a little extra weight around my stomach, but as long as I know that it will remain hidden, I don’t mind it at all. Thanks to my hip-T, a little extra weight is nothing to worry about. Check out the hip-T for yourself, and fall in love with your wardrobe all over again!
