Scentsy Buddy Plush Toys-Review and Giveaway

Stuffed animals are wonderful toys in almost every way. They are soft and cuddly to hold, cute to look at and fun for so many pretend games. But if you’ve ever snuggled up with a favourite plush friend, you may have noticed that there is one thing that isn’t very appealing about stuffed animals. The smell of plush toys ranges from non-existent to downright foul, but I have certainly never come across a stuffed animal that I thought smelled good.

Scentsy knows more about making things smell good than any other company I’ve ever encountered, and so when I heard that the famous makers of the wickless candle system had created a line of plush toys designed to hold a trademark Scentsy Scent Pak, I couldn’t wait to learn more.

The toys are called the Scentsy Buddy collection, and were released just in time for Valentine’s Day. I chose the adorable Ribbert the Frog to review and I couldn’t wait to see what my sons thought of him.

Ribbert came with a Vanilla Cream Scent Pak that I was able to place inside of the toy thanks to a convenient zipper on the back. The smell when I took out the sachet was unbelievable and after inserting it into the toy I couldn’t help but give Ribbert a sniff to see how well the scent permeated the fabric. The aroma was unbelievable and I eagerly waited until Zackary was done pre-kindergarten so that I could present him with his plush friend.

When I told Zackary that the “parcel man” had brought him a surprise and that it was waiting in the kitchen, he ran over and pulled open Ribbert’s box immediately. “A new friend for me!” he cried excitedly. I suggested Zackary smell Ribbert and when he did, his eyes widened in delight. “And he smells like cookies!” he announced to me with glee. “Thanks Mom! Ribbert is my best cuddly friend!”

Ribbert is a favourite of both of my boys because he is soft, cute and smells unbelievable. In fact, when I’m picking up toys and I grab Ribbert to put away, I can’t resist the urge to bury my nose into him either. The sensational Vanilla Cream scent is just mouth-watering!

All Scentsy Buddy toys come with a registration code that can be entered at the official website. My boys are both a little young for this concept, so I took it upon myself to register Ribbert and explore the website. We have had Ribbert for just over a week now and he still smells absolutely amazing.
