With one bathroom to share between the five family members in our household, we have to be pretty careful about how space is used. Like most kids, Zackary and Benjamin have a bunch of toys especially for bath time, but finding a convenient place to store them is almost impossible in the small area we have available.
Probably the best idea I’ve ever encountered where bath toy storage is concerned is a holder that stores toys inside the tub. So when I heard about the Bubblefish Shampoo and Toy Storage, a sensational toy holder that mounted on shower walls for the ultimate bath time fun distributed in Canada by Childish Notions, I knew I wanted to learn more. I was thrilled when I was given the chance to test it out for myself.
This child-friendly toy storage container features a clever two-piece design in a fun fish shape. The top of the container looks like the head of the fish, and features suction cups to attach the holder to the wall and two round shelves designed to look like the eyes of the fish that are perfect for holding shampoo or bubble bath. The other half of the container forms the body of the fish, and the half-circle design means that it also acts as a convenient scoop. I loved the idea of simply scooping the toys out of the bath when my kids were done!
The Bubblefish attached with suction cups and the included instructions also suggested using screws for instillation if the suction cups didn’t provide adequate adhesion. I did try to use the suction cups on their own, but mere moments after mounting the Bubblefish holder, it had fallen. I sometimes think I must have a curse where suction cups are concerned; I’ve just never been to attach them properly to a surface.
Fortunately, I had some past experience from mounting another shower accessory that helped me find a solution, and I used silicone to easily and safely adhere the Bubblefish holder to the wall. Thanks to the two-piece design there wasn’t any excessive weight that interfered with the instillation, and after attaching the Bubblefish to the wall it has stayed in place perfectly.
The kid-friendly shape was so much fun for my boys and I loved the convenient storage shelves for bath time essentials. But my favourite feature of the Bubblefish Shampoo and Toy Storage holder was definitely the combination container and scoop that made up the body of the fish. Every design element was so well thought out and so easy to use. From the detachable body itself that let me scoop toys out of the bath before I drained the tub to the slots in the bottom that drained the excess water so that I could safely leave toys stored for the next bath, I loved the ease and sensibility of the storage system.
In addition to brilliant bath products, Childish Notions also distributes the very best baby and child items for feeding, travel and potty time. I loved how convenient and easy to use the Bubblefish Shampoo and Toy Storage unit was, and both boys adored the holder too, thanks to the fun fish design! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by bath toys, the Bubblefish holder is definitely something you should check out for yourself. Thanks to Childish Notions, finding the best problem-solving baby products in Canada is a breeze!
