Teenagers are incredibly fussy about their clothing, but I never really realized just how fussy they were until my stepdaughter came to live with us. When I was a teenager, I was very much a hand-me-down kid and as long as my jeans had flared legs, my shirts were tank tops and the black eyeliner was plentiful I didn’t much care about anything else.

After some deliberation, she chose the Black Red Sweetheart Dress in a size Small to review. When the dress arrived, I pulled it out to see how it looked. The black fabric was a stretchy gathered material and the red satin bodice closed in the front with a simple hook closure. To be honest, the dress looked rather odd with the loose black material hanging down. But when Alison tried it on, the transformation was incredible.
The material, which had seemed to hang shapelessly earlier, actually had just the right amount of stretch to fit well through the waist and hips and the gathered fabric that ran the length of the dress provided great detail. The red bodice added the perfect contrast and the overall impression was stunningly sophisticated and made Alison look like a classy young adult.
And the best part was, the dress cost a mere $21.50!
I couldn’t believe how beautiful this dress was but what really impressed me was the price. And the other trendy juniors clothing on the Lovemode.com website was just as reasonable. In fact, I’m thinking of getting a few of the cute shirts for myself!
