Now that kids are back in school and summer has officially ended, there’s no better time to reminisce about all the fun of the last few months and after the travelling we did this year, SpongeBob Squarepants: SpongeBob’s Runaway Roadtrip was a great way to do that. Here’s a brief synopsis:
It’s vacation time in the deep blue sea! Join SpongeBob and Patrick on a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, Plankton and Karen on a romantic cruise, Mr. Krabs and Pearl on a trip to the Ocean Mint, Patrick on a homebound holiday, and Sandy on a trip that’s out of this world. Why, these vacations are so packed with adventure and hilarity, everyone just might need a vacation from their vacation!
The DVD contains five episodes about vacations and travel as well as two bonus episodes, which are included in the special features, and we sat down to watch them together after school one day. I loved the opening episode about SpongeBob and Patrick’s adventures at the Great Barrier Reef; SpongeBob’s infectious good humour on his vacation was hysterically classic. Zackary loved every episode; he just can’t resist the crazy physical comedy that fills every show!
SpongeBob Squarepants: SpongeBob’s Runaway Roadtrip is a fun movie choice for school-aged kids looking for a way to relive the carefree days of summer just once more, and the DVD is so funny that the entire family can enjoy the show too. Check it out for yourself today!

My favorite Summer Memory, well we were on a road trip vacation and I was probably 12 ish… Anyway we were driving to vancouver island. We got to the island really late that night and there were NO hotels in victoria. We ended up driving till 4 in the morning to find a hotel room in some obscure little town on the island. The best part tho was when we woke up the next morning the hotel had a courtyard and in it was the biggest tree we had ever seen!! I still remember that tree and I have no idea why lol
