I love giving gifts and I really try to put a lot of thought into everything that I give to someone else. I want my presents to be meaningful; something that the recipient will remember for a long time. But finding gifts like that really isn’t easy, especially since so many people already seem to have everything they need! When I learned about Samba Days, I was intrigued, because this unique company sells gift boxes that don’t contain products…they contain experiences! What could be more memorable than that?

Recently I was given a chance to enjoy one of the Samba Days experiences from the Body and Soul Rejuvenate category: an Aromatherapy Swedish Massage and Maintenance Facial at the sensational Chi Spa in Toronto. I have never actually been to a spa before which is one of the reasons that I really wanted to see what a spa experience was all about. I had no idea what to expect, but the incredible service and warm atmosphere at the spa completely blew me away!
Chi Spa is a holistic spa, so all of the products that the spa uses are completely natural, something that is very important to me. The masseuse did an absolutely incredible job and made sure that she knew before she started about any recurring problems I had with stiff muscles so that she could give me the most effective treatment possible. I mentioned that I often have issues with neck and shoulder pain (a hazard of being hunched over a keyboard so much) and she made sure to really focus on that area to ensure that my tight muscles were completely loosened and relaxed. I felt absolutely fabulous when the massage ended!
As much as I enjoyed the massage, the facial was even better. I have so many problems with breakouts and blackheads that I couldn’t wait to pamper my face with a good cleansing treatment. The exfoliating scrub, hot towels and masque left my skin feeling positively radiant, and I even got spoiled with a blackhead removal treatment! I couldn’t believe how fresh and glowing my skin looked when I was done. It just so happened that I had a party to attend right after the treatment and I had been a little nervous about having a facial before the event in case my finicky skin got irritated, but I needn’t have worried. My skin looked absolutely incredible after the facial!
I don’t get to Toronto too often, but the next time I visit I will certainly be stopping by Chi Spa once again. The gentle, all-natural products left my skin looking and feeling completely amazing and the staff was so caring and skilled. Now that I’ve seen how fabulous a spa treatment can be, I have the feeling I’ll be making an effort to spoil myself more often!
