Holiday Gift for Children
I don’t think that there is any better gift than one that inspires imagination. Long after the trendiest new toy of the holiday season has lost its appeal, a tried and true interactive classic will still be a childhood favourite. The gorgeous story board sets from Pacific Kid are just the kind of creativity-inspiring toy that I love for gift giving and recently I got a chance to check out the company’s On the Farm story board for myself.

I don’t believe there’s a child alive that doesn’t love a felt story board, but the Pacific Kid products really are extra special. The first thing that sets them apart from the competition are their portability. The clever kits feature a background that folds in half and closes with a zipper. Not only does this ensure that no pieces are lost, but with the help of a handy handle, it also makes the story boards perfect for travel. And best of all, there are no batteries required for the fun!
The pieces themselves are hand-sewn, three dimensional and multi-textured pieces that provide lots of sensory interest. My personal favourite piece was the sheep figure, which had a fun and realistic woolly coat. Benjamin especially enjoyed the little pink rabbit, but he loved all the animals and we used them for playing games, singing songs, and even teaching words thanks to the included nametags for the characters!

The rest of the family loved the On the Farm story board set too, and so did my boys’ friends. I loved watching Zackary and Benjamin use the characters to act out stories and plays. The only limit on their fun was their own creativity. Pacific Kid story board sets would make a great gift for any child and are a fun choice for toddlers right up to school-aged children. The fun repositionable pieces held in place with velcro are appealing to kids of all ages.
Whether you are shopping for a traditional child that likes to arrange items neatly and systematically or an artistic child that loves crazy, carefree concepts, Pacific Kid story boards are a great gift choice. After all, who says pigs can’t fly when you’re playing with a story board! Pacific Kid story boards are available online at the Pacific Kid website, so check them out for yourself and give a gift that proves the best entertainment for any child is their own imagination, with a little help from Pacific Kid!
