I try my best to eat healthy but I have to admit that I just can’t resist a good snack. Whether I’m in the mood for something sweet or something salty, when mid afternoon or late evening cravings hit, I just can’t resist a good snack. Of course, though, all the best snacks are the ones that are absurdly high in fat and calories. A miniscule one-once serving of chips, for example, has more than 150 calories and a whopping ten grams of fat!

I received three different flavours of the new Special K Snack Chips to test out for myself and I couldn’t wait to see what they were like. I was also excited to see that they chips were a blend of potato and rice; I don’t mind potato chips but I absolutely adore rice chips so these were perfect for me.

We tried the Sour Cream and Onion chips first and I’m glad that I grabbed a small handful of chips before giving them to my husband and boys, because the box was gone in minutes! A few days later my husband and I munched on the Sea Salt chips as we watched a movie. I’m not really a fan of regular chips, but these were really nice; the flavour of rice in the chips made them way more palatable to me. My husband is a big fan of original chips so he enjoyed these even more than I did.

The Cheddar was by far my favourite flavour and so I saved the box for myself. A small bowl of chips made the perfect crunchy late-night snack when I was working on my site and when I didn’t have to battle my boys for the box, I was able to enjoy about five servings of chips out of the package!
