The Schick Hydro Silk Razor Will Have You Smooth, Sleek and Ready for Summer-Giveaway

I have a confession. Despite being a thirty-one-year-old mother to two little boys, I still love to bare some skin come summertime. Fun little skirts, tank tops, slinky sundresses…there’s just something so comfortable about being able to feel sun warming your skin and the breeze cooling it down all at the same time.

schick hydro silk razor But wearing all those cute summer outfits I love does mean that I have to make sure my legs and underarms are smooth and sleek. And so when I got the chance to try out the new Schick Hydro Silk razor, I couldn’t wait. It sounded like the perfect way to ensure that my skin looked its smoothest in all my favourite summer clothing.

The Schick Hydro Silk razor is the ultimate moisturizing razor. It features five curve sensing blades, water-activated moisturizing serum and skin guards. The Hydro Silk promised an incredibly smooth and irritation-free shave and when I stepped into the shower with it, I was eager to see if the razor lived up to the claims.

The first thing that I noticed when I started shaving my legs was the difference that the curve sensing blades made. These individually supported blades can move independently from each other to allow the razor to safely and effectively manoeuvre over knees & ankles. Since I usually have to shave pretty quickly (or else be faced with small boys bursting into the bathroom), I really appreciated that. I’ve used razors in the past that have nicked my skin when I try to complete my rushed shaving routine and so my first and most important requirement of any razor is that it is designed so that even a quick shave leaves my legs nick-free. The Schick Hydro Silk razor definitely filled that requirement!

The Schick Hydro Silk still requires a shave gel for the best results. I totally confess that I am a bit of a slacker when it comes to using shave gel. I usually just lather up my legs with my body wash and my first time using the Hydro Silk was no exception. The razor glided over my skin really nicely and when I stepped out of the shower, I dried off so that I could see what kind of a job the razor had done.

My legs were completely smooth and very soft but what really impressed me about the Schick Hydro Silk razor was how well it had been able to shave the bumpy areas like my ankles and knees. While I’ve had other razors that shave the areas quite well, usually my skin is left with tiny red bumps afterwards. The water-activated moisturizing serum really resulted in a shave that was not just smooth but also non-irritating!

Ooo, lucky! I know what you mean though; those of us in the smaller provinces always have a harder time with things like that. I think Regina has a grand total of ONE Spafinder spa too! LOL

the thing I love about these razors is we got a free one from an ambassador on fb, and it came with a U.S. AND CANADIAN coupon on the back of it (for refills, and I was able to stack the coupons at London Drugs, so got them super cheap)
not everyone likes coupons or uses them, but for those who do, this was something that motivates me to buy the same item again LOL

My must have summer item is a sunscreen treated beach coverup. I would much rather use
