I am a huge fan of wall decals and we currently have them decorating nearly every room in our home. A stylish old-fashioned compass in our back porch, a quote in our kitchen, vehicle decals and jungle decals in the kids’ rooms, Orcas in the bathroom…for a busy family, wall decals have to be the easiest way to update the look of a room. So when I recently got the chance to review some of the beautiful decals from Dezign with a Z, I was delighted.
As I mentioned, almost every room in our house is accessorized with wall decals of some variety. So after browsing the website and looking at all the fun options that were available, I decided to try something new and order car decals for my husband’s beloved Ford F-150. We chose two of the Dragon Car Decals with one of the designs reversed so that we could put one on each door. Since the truck is white, we decided to stick with plain black for the colour.
Applying car decals is a little more difficult than applying wall decals; since the adhesive is so strong, it’s always best performed as a two-person job. My husband and I carefully pulled the top layer off the decals and then I held one side of the decal as my husband carefully pressed the other side into place and rubbed it firmly with the included rubber wedge to transfer it to the truck. When the whole decal had been smoothed out onto the door, we peeled away the paper.
The decals looked amazing on the doors of the truck and it was so much fun to take our love of decals to a new level by using them on our vehicle as well!
