Get ready to party because the newest DVD from the hit children’s group The Wiggles is all about celebrating! The Wiggles: Big Birthday! is full of parties, laughter and, of course, music that the whole family will enjoy. Here’s a brief synopsis:
Join Murray, Jeff, Anthony and Sam for a Wiggly Party. We’ve invited some of our favourite friends, Captain Feathersword, Dorothy, Wags and Henry, to help celebrate. Dance along to your favourite Wiggles songs live in concert. There are so many birthday surprises, jokes and songs for more wiggly, giggly fun. Hip, hip hooray! It’s time for The Wiggles’ Big Birthday!
The boys had a great time watching this DVD; they have both loved The Wiggles ever since Zackary became obsessed with the group’s Big Red Car when he was a toddler. The band themselves are the favourite characters in our house but Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus are also big favourites. And who can resist the hilarious antics of Captain Feathersword?
While the DVD is lots of fun, what’s even more fun is the fact that The Wiggles are starting an incredible North American live tour! This will be the last time the original group tours together so it’s a must-see event for any fans of the show. And to celebrate, NCircle Entertainment is offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader their own copy of The Wiggles: Big Birthday! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about what you did for your child’s last birthday!
The DVD is available for a suggested retail price of $12.99 and includes some special features such as a photo gallery and a documentary about The Wiggles’ first twenty years. But like the television show, the highlight of this DVD for my boys and me was the music! If you have a child that loves The Wiggles, or even just loves singing and dancing, check out this fun DVD for yourself. And keep your eyes out for The Wiggles coming to a city near you!

Well, I have 5 kids, and the LAST one to celebrate a birthday was my 15 year old. I took him to a movie, we got Dairy Queen ice cake, ordered pizza. Nothing too fancy. Ironically, about 11 years ago, I took my now 15 year old to see the Wiggles Live in concert. (I do have 2, 3 and 5 year old now who actually still watch the Wiggles lol)
We gave our son a choice of having a party of 6-8 kids w games etc. OR to take one good friend to an Ottawa Senators game. He chose the ottawa Sen’s game as he’d never been and had an amazing time with his best bud, Titan. It worked out to be so much less trouble and about the same cost practically as the party. The family night deal at the sen’s game worked out perfectly, only gas was extra as we live hours away. Fun though. I hope that’s what he wants to do next year.
