Sabra Hummus is a Delicious Rich Dip That’s Better for You-Giveaway

There are few things I love more than a really good dip for chips or veggies and one of my absolute favourite dips is hummus. Not only is the blend of chickpeas, olive oil and lemon juice delicious; it’s healthy too! Low in fat and a source of protein and fibre…what’s not to love?

red pepper sabra hummus But until recently, I’ve always made my own hummus. I have tried a few different varieties of store-bought hummus in the past and I’ve just never found the taste very good compared to the simple, wholesome taste of the dip I made myself. So when I got the chance to try Sabra hummus, a high-quality brand of hummus made with authentic ingredients and containing no trans fat or cholesterol, I was a little hesitant but eager to see if this would finally be a store-bought brand that I could love.

Sabra Hummus comes in a wide range of taste-tempting varieties including Supremely Spicy, Roasted Red Pepper, Classic, Roasted Pine Nut and more! I received some coupons so that I could try out the hummus for myself and I headed to the store and bought three different varieties so that my husband and I could have a feast.

I decided on the Roasted Garlic, Roasted Red Pepper and Greek Olive varieties. The Roasted Red Pepper Sabra hummus is one of Canada’s top flavours so my husband and I tried that one first. It was creamy, rich and flavourful and I loved the way that the roasted red pepper added a touch of sweetness to the dip. We ate the hummus with a box of salted pita chips and it was the perfect good-for-you snack to give me energy in the afternoon.

We tried the Roasted Garlic hummus next and I decided to serve it with an assortment of raw, fresh vegetables. I have to say, this hummus was by far my favourite. The dreamy roasted garlic flavour is sure to be a hit with any garlic lover and it really blended well with the flavour of the hummus. This variety is one that I will certainly be buying again; it is incredible!

Finally I tried the Greek Olive hummus. I have to admit, I had a bit of an ulterior motive for buying this one; my husband doesn’t like olives so I knew that I would have the entire container of hummus to myself to eat at my leisure. I enjoyed the tangy taste of the olives and it made a nice change from the richer flavours of the other varieties. It’s one I would enjoy occasionally but it wasn’t my favourite of the three.

Instead, I was able to enjoy the creamy taste of a dip that was, I have to admit, even better than my own homemade version!

So that you can see for yourself how delicious Sabra hummus is, and have fun finding your favourite variety too, Sabra is very generously offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader a Sabra Hummus free product coupon prize pack worth $50! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about what variety of Sabra Hummus you would most like to try!

Since I’ve discovered a store-bought variety of hummus that’s so good, I’ll certainly be enjoying it more often. Hummus was usually an occasional treat for our family since eating it used to mean that I had to drag out the blender, find all the ingredients and make it myself. Now it’s a delicious and healthy treat we can enjoy any time! If you want a hummus that has a great natural flavour, a rich and creamy texture and lots of fun varieties, look no further than Sabra hummus. And if you’ve never been a fan of store-bought hummus, this is the brand you should be trying! It’s sure to satisfy even the most discriminating hummus connoisseur!
