Last month I had the chance to be one of the first Canadians to try the new Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment razor and I loved the sweet-smelling moisturizing bar that let me skip the shaving lotion in the shower. I was also able to give fifty of my fabulous readers the opportunity to try the razor as well and the reviews are in!
Plenty of readers loved the great smell of the shaving bar and noticed that shaving their legs was quicker without using shaving foam. Many also mentioned how effectively the razor moisturized their skin as they were shaving.
I tried the razor and love how soft it makes my skin feel, not all dry and razor burned. Love the coconut smell of the soap.

I love that there is no preparation except wetting the razor and the area to be shaved. My skin feels smooth and soft after using the razor. I have sensitive skin and after shaving I had no bumps, no cuts and no razor burn! I was especially pleased when I had no irritation after shaving my underarms as this is often a problem with other razors, even with shaving cream.

As I’m prone to dry skin, the moisturizing head is perfect for me and I was glad it had only a faint but pleasant fragrance. Running the razor over my legs felt more like rolling on body lotion than shaving. There was no pulling or drag at all. I was amazed how silky it felt and I got a very close, long lasting shave. This product will be a great convenience when I go camping this summer. All I have to do is dip the razor in a cup of water, pour water down my leg and shave, another cup of water to rinse – done! No messy gel or foam container to haul around.

I really liked this razor. Looking at it on the shelf, I never thought I would like it, and never had the chance to try it until now. It is really easy to use, and I was surprised at how well it performed without any shave cream being used. I also find that it takes less time to shave my legs than before, which is a happy thing because it’s such an onerous task to begin with. It left my legs feeling soft and smooth. I really like this razor, and it will probably be the one I use from now on.

I loved that I didn’t need to use shaving cream with this – it’s great how it’s built right in. It’s much better than struggling with a razor and a can of shaving cream in the shower.

Some of the common criticisms included the fact that the shaving bar sometimes reached the end of its life before the blades did and that the suction cup holder didn’t stick to the shower wall properly. (I actually have this same problem with every razor holder!) A few readers also found the larger handle of razor a little awkward to use at first.
After about 6 shaves the soap had worn down to the point where I could feel the blades against my skin. The blade isn’t ready to be replaced but the soap part needs a replacement.

I would have preferred that it was unscented, and I did have a problem attaching the suction cap to the shower walls. It only could be attached to the inside of my bathroom cabinet, which is inconvenient.

The built in shave cream actually foams, unlike others I’ve used in the past. My only complaint is that the built in shave cream doesn’t last long enough.

I have fairly dry skin and often have to moisturize after a shave, I don’t have to do this after using the Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment razor. I get a close smooth shave every time, but I see the moisture bar won’t last as long as the usefulness of the razor, which is a little disappointing, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. The scent is mild enough that even with a cold it didn’t bring on a sneezing fit. I like how the packaging has a coconut and an almond in a highly visible area for those whom may be allergic to those ingredients. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone whom wants a close and moisturizing shaving experience.

The first time I tried my new Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment razor, it was so gentle I didn’t think it was doing anything. But when I looked down at my leg, the hair was gone! I was amazed at how well it worked, with no pulling or scraping. My legs were left soft and smooth (underarms were too). Suction cups don’t seem to like to stick to may shower wall, and the one on the razor holder was no exception. That it didn’t stick was a bit was disappointing because it appears to be a well-designed razor holder. Despite this minor problem, the Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment razor provides a close, comfortable, pleasurable shave. It’s now my favourite razor!

Not only did the head of the razor moisturize and lather my skin as I shaved, it prevented many nicks and cuts that sometimes happen. The larger moisturizing area of the razor head gave a bit of a buffer to the blades when starting my shaving strokes – thus no cuts! The coconut scent was very appealing and my legs were silky smooth when I was done. I was also pleased with the handle size. At first, I was skeptical and thought it might be a little too big, but it was a nice fit in my hand and was comfortable to use. The shower hanger that came with the razor was also a great plus.

I found the Schick Intuition Razor very easy to handle in the shower. The handle was easy to grip,and shaving was so much easier with having the shaving lotion and moisturizer all in one. The coconut milk and almond oil smelt heavenly, which left my legs soft and smooth. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends.

The first thing I noticed about the razor was its size. It’s much larger than my usual razor. It has a larger head surrounded by moisturizing bars of coconut milk and almond oil which smells wonderful. The handle is also much wider than my usual razor. I was pleased to see rubber grips on the razor to make it easy to hold onto while using in the shower. Despite the larger size of the razor, it fit comfortably in my hand. The razor had a skin moisturizing solid around the actual razor head which lathers up while shaving eliminating the need for soap or shave gel. The solid lathered really well and I was impressed at how smoothly the razor glided over my skin. I was a bit worried that due to this solid on the razor head I wouldn’t be able to get a close shave. I was surprised by how close of a shave I actually got.

I tested this razor on my arms for this review. A big concern is after shaving, say, my forearms, I often end up with small red bumps where my hair follicles are – as if the razor clogged my pores with skin. But the Schick Intuition Pure Nourishment razor treated my skin so well that after one week, I have no noticeable red bumps. The solid shaving bar lathers easily and moisturizes at the same time, giving me the benefit of a quick shave and smooth skin. Perfect for a person tight on time who doesn’t want to deal with separate shaving gel or moisturizer. Lastly, shaving my arms allowed me to appreciate the solid shaving bar’s coconut milk and almond oil scent. I love how it is a very gentle, natural scent that doesn’t have an over-powerful smell that makes it seem artificial. I am not a fan of using messy shaving gel, but at the same time I wouldn’t dare shave without it because my skin gets so horribly dry. It took me a few minutes to get my head around the fact that with this new razor I would not need shaving gel. I gave it a try and I have to say that I am thrilled with the results. The four blades removed hair easily without having to pass over the same area over and over again. The coconut smells great (one of my favourite scents!). And the best part is, hours after shaving my legs still feel great and they are not dry at all. I really like this razor, thanks for giving me the opportunity to try and review it. I will effeminately be buying this in the store!
