Add Christmas Cheer to Your Look with the OPI Mariah Carey Holiday Collection

It may not quite be Halloween yet, but I’m already starting to dream of a white Christmas, and I’m not the only one! OPI is getting in the holiday spirit with the fabulous new Mariah Carey Holiday collection and recently I received an assortment of nail lacquers from the collection to test out for myself.

This collection is all about holiday glitter, with an assortment of stylish shimmery shades of red and maroon as well as some beautiful sparkling polishes for top coats or to wear on their own. I’ve always loved sparkling polish so I had a hard time deciding which glittering shade I was going to try first. Eventually the All Sparkly and Gold shade won me over. This nail lacquer would add great golden glam applied lightly as a top coat, but it is opaque enough to look fabulous on its own as well.

I decided to try the deep red In My Santa Suit shade next and this colour is just so sexy. It would be the perfect accompaniment to a little black dress at a holiday party and I loved the richness of the red and its sleek shine. The colour was gorgeous all on its own, but I couldn’t resist having a little fun dressing it up with one of the glittering top coat polishes I’d received.

I alternated the black-flecked Wondrous Star with the large circle glitter I Snow You Love Me on my nails for a dramatic holiday effect. I think I would have liked the Wondrous Star even better with a little more black glitter, but it was still dramatic and looked great against the red. But the I Snow I Love You was definitely my favourite. These glitter circles are large and with a little effort, can be placed into position on the nails to create an easy nail art look. I can’t wait to play around with this polish a little more to add glam to a solid nail colour!
