My son has went through a lot of different stages since eating solid foods: eating everything, then eating nothing and then eating everything but baby food. Now he will only eat food if he sees that mom and dad are eating the same thing. So anything that he doesn’t eat ends up on the floor, usually after it’s been in his mouth and has had a chance to get nice and slobbery first. Needless to say, my floors are always a slimy sticky mess and now that I’ve gone back to work, they don’t get washed often either.
Luckily Luke and Loolu, part of the Fabrications Inc. family, have a variety of fun Spill Mats that helped with my problem. The company’s Spill Mats all measure 42″ x 42″ and are double-sided coated cotton for extra convenience. They are free of any harmful chemicals so they are safe for baby to play on (and easy to clean if baby spits up). The Spill Mats come in tons of fun colours and patterns that will appeal to any taste or match any design scheme. [Read more...]
This time I chose the Rockease Classic; it comes in 4 colours and is modelled to look like marbled rocks. I love that all the Teethease products are fashionably made to look like modern jewellery and this necklace is another great example of that. And while it’s nice for mom, it’s nice for baby too. There are 7 uniquely-shaped rocks on the necklaces and the different shapes help to keep baby interested. They are made of soft, flexible silicone so that the necklace is soft enough for baby to chew on, something that’s come in very handy in our house!

So we did and I had to agree, it’s a very genius idea indeed. The first thing to note is the innovative 360° drinking, which I love for my baby especially. Chase tends to think he can drink from any side of his cups or bottles and he gets frustrated when he tries to drink from a random point on the cup and nothing comes out. Now, as long as his Philips AVENT Natural Drinking Cup is facing upright, he can get a drink.
Now I have a baby who runs very hot. The fact he made it through the day in the same outfit is a miracle in itself. Most days this summer he stays naked and if we do put him in some clothes, he’ll soak through in a few hours with sweat. I like that Disney makes their Cuddly Bodysuits with breathable, 100% cotton so that when we have to put clothes on to leave the house, my baby stays cool and comfortable. Since it is made with cotton and is machine washable, I was a little worried that when I washed the dirty outfit for the first time, it might shrink and not fit baby Chase anymore. Disney Baby is smart though, and its Cuddly Bodysuits hold their shape after repeated washing and experience very minimal shrinkage so that it will fit baby until he actually grows out of it (which I wish I could say for the rest of Chase’s clothes…)! These bodysuits are available in sizes 0-9 months, but they feature ingenious Grow-An-Inch Snaps™ so your little one can wear the cuddly suit for even longer! And the nice wide neck opening makes putting on the bodysuit easy for moms and babies!
