Start the New Year with a New Look from Nifty Creations by Jodi

In early January, I did something that I’ve wanted to do since I first started blogging…I got a total blog makeover! I am completely thrilled with my new look and that’s why I can’t wait to tell you about my amazing designer: Jodi from Nifty Creations by Jodi.

I found Nifty Creations by Jodi by looking for designers that had great looks and great prices to match. Some WordPress blog makeovers can cost more than one thousand dollars and while I wanted a new look, I didn’t want it THAT badly! Nifty Creations by Jodi had makeover packages for both Blogger and WordPress with prices that a stay-at-home mom could actually afford and Jodi’s portfolio of past site designs was stunning. I went all out and got the total makeover, complete with a matching Facebook landing page and Twitter background. Graphics, of course, were a little extra and I hunted for quite some time to find ones that I liked. Then it was time to sit back and watch the magic happen! Jodi uploaded the design to a test site so that I could check out the progress whenever I wanted and it was so much fun to see the different elements coming together. My favourite feature of the design was definitely the header. The avatar of my oldest son originally had much lighter colouring so I mentioned to Jodi that I would prefer the character had darker hair and eyes if possible. The results were perfect and Zackary loves looking at the online version of himself on my website!

What I loved most about the process was how Jodi was able to incorporate all of the things I loved into my design. She gave me the clean and functional look I wanted but still kept things very feminine because I mentioned I enjoyed pink and other “girly” colours. She was also able to set up the design so that I could incorporate some new ad sizes. And how cute is my new signature and favicon? Best of all, she made sure everything coordinated perfectly, from my buttons to my background to my Facebook page avatar!

She did an incredible job designing my dream blog and now that I have it, I don’t think I’ll be changing it again for a long time. It has the easy-to-use functionality I want for my readers and still completely embodies who I am. Ascenta Health OmegaSmooth Omega-3 Supplement-Review and Giveaway-CLOSED

With all the different varieties of omega-3 supplements available, how do you decide which one is best for your family? For me, the decision is easy. A supplement that my entire family loves is the one that I tend to be loyal about purchasing. After all, if my kids won’t take it, there’s not much point in buying it!

My oldest son didn’t mind it at all, but my youngest son’s reaction to the unexpected texture was absolutely comical. He screwed up his nose, stuck out his tongue and shot me a look that was worthy of a Buckley’s commercial. Needless to say, Zackary was the one that polished off most of that bottle of supplement.

So when Ascenta Health contacted me about trying out their brand new OmegaSmooth supplement, an orange-flavoured, high absorbing omega-3 supplement with a pleasant creamy texture instead of an oily one, I agreed eagerly.

Ascenta Health let me know that the supplement tasted best chilled so I popped the bottle in the fridge as soon as it arrived. The supplement was white and surprisingly thick; when I poured it into a spoon it was a little like pouring a spoonful of syrup or honey. But when I gave a teaspoonful to Zackary to try, he gobbled it up and declared that it was delicious!

Of course Benjamin was the real test, so I poured another spoonful and let my picky youngest son try the new OmegaSmooth. He was just as enthusiastic as his brother and he continues to happily have a teaspoon of the supplement every day! Watching him take his OmegaSmooth might not be so entertaining, but it is far more satisfying!

Because both of my boys love this sticky-sweet orange supplement so much, my husband and I save it exclusively for them, but we each did try a bit of the OmegaSmooth just to see how we liked it. My husband declared that it was delicious; I think I can safely say that he loved it just as much as my boys did. Sadly, I didn’t feel the same way. I have a pretty acute sense of taste and while I loved the initial flavour of the supplement, I found it had a slightly fishy aftertaste that I just couldn’t stomach. Fortunately, I’m not the one taking it every day and if both of my boys are excited to take their OmegaSmooth every morning, that’s good enough for me!

Ascenta Health has a variety of different omega-3 supplements and I love the fact that they have formulas for everyone from pregnant women to vegetarians to pets! When I was a child, my mother really didn’t have a very hard time getting me to eat. I loved food and as far as I was concerned, everything she put on the table was delicious. Sadly, my oldest son does not take after me in this regard.

They have a J shape and are made of medical-grade silicone, so they have that firm yet yielding feel to them. Because of the great durability of silicone, they are easy to clean and don’t wear down over time.
