Do your kids love The Backyardigans? Mine sure do! And recently, I received the fabulous news that The Backyardigans are going to be travelling across Canada on their incredible The Backyardigans: Quest for the Extra Ordinary Aliens live tour! My little province of Saskatchewan often gets passed by on family theatrical tours, but not this time! Pablo, Tasha, Uniqua, Tyrone and Austin will be making not one, but two stops here in Saskatchewan, and children across the province can’t wait!
The Backyardigans: Quest for the Extra Ordinary Aliens is the newest live family adventure from Koba Entertainment, a company that is known across Canada for providing the very best live theatrical shows starring a variety of the most beloved animated children’s characters. Here’s a brief synopsis of the show:
The Backyardigans gang – Pablo the penguin, Tyrone the moose, Uniqua the purple-spotted creature, Tasha the hippo and Austin the kangaroo – are five high-spirited preschool friends whose zany imaginations are whisking them on yet another epic adventure!
Quest for the Extra Ordinary Aliens takes the audience on a non-stop musical expedition as The Backyardigans become Daring Detectives, Cookie Security Guards and Space Ace Reporters who travel in hot pursuit of a mysterious space ship and its missing passengers – the cookie-crumbing Aliens! Tag along with the gang and their extraordinary host as they travel to shivering Frozen Toes Mountain, the blistering Hot Footsy Desert and the volcanic Lost Pirate Island – singing and dancing the whole way!
The Backyardigans: Quest for the Extra Ordinary Aliens is a finger-snapping, toe-tapping, mind-boggling adventure that will have the whole family dancing on the edge of their seats.
The tour kicks off in Nanimo, British Columbia on September 7, 2011 and wraps up in Sarnia, Ontario on October 27, so everyone’s favourite backyard pals definitely have some busy days ahead. And my boys will be busily anticipating the arrival of their special friends, since we recently learned that we’re going to be given the chance to review the show for ourselves!
Waiting until the end of September when the show reaches Saskatchewan isn’t going to be easy, but Koba Entertainment is helping to make the wait more enjoyable with fun downloadable activity sheets on the official website!
