I love a big juicy burger. In fact, homemade burgers fresh off the barbeque are one of my favourite things about summer. Last year my family had the chance to review the brand new Twistos Snack Bites. They were crispy and light little morsels of deliciousness that I absolutely loved. And with flavours like Asiago, Bruschetta and Parmesan & Garlic, I couldn’t help but want to hide the bags away for myself! Unfortunately, the boys loved the Twistos just as much as I did, so I reluctantly shared my new favourite snack!

twistos baked snack bites asiago Now, Twistos has released a brand new flavour of Twistos Snack Bites and a new line of Twistos Crackers and I couldn’t resist when I was given the opportunity to test them out! I received a review package packed with Twistos Snack Bites and Twistos Crackers and the boys and I enjoyed snacking heaven for days afterwards.

As a fan of Twistos Snack Bites already, I just had to test out the new flavour before I did anything else. Twistos Balsamic Vinegar & Olive Oil is hands-down my new favourite flavour. I love the rich, tangy, slightly sweet taste of balsamic vinegar and it pairs with the light crispiness of the snack bites wonderfully. I still do enjoy the original flavours, but the new variety of Twistos has won top honours in my heart. [Read more...]

T&T korean kalbi marinade sauce One of the things I love about shopping at Real Canadian Superstore is the selection. Whether I’m looking for a new dinner option or just a fun snack I haven’t tried before, I know that I’ll find plenty of new items to test out at my local store. Recently I received a package of some of the new T&T brand Asian products, which were tested and approved by the CEO of T&T Supermarket, that the store has introduced and I was intrigued by the new choices available.

Stir-fry is a pretty popular meal choice in our house since the boys love the bite-sized morsels of food and I love the speediness of the dish on a busy day. So I was especially excited to see the T&T Korean Kalbi Marinade Sauce in our package. I combined it with steak, red pepper, carrots and broccoli to create a quick and delicious dinner. The sauce had a unique sweet and spicy taste that all three of us loved and while it paired especially nicely with the beef I’m sure it would be tasty with chicken as well. [Read more...]

Green & Black’s Dark Choclate Orange Raspberry Tiramisu Makes a Delicious Easter Dessert-Giveaway

I am an absolute huge fan of Green & Black’s Organic chocolate. In fact, when I mention my love of organic chocolate to others, Green & Black’s is the brand I’m thinking of. It has a rich, complex flavour that I find absolutely irresistible. Recently, Green & Black’s contacted me and asked me to be a part of the Green & Black’s Organic Easter Recipe Hunt and I couldn’t wait to take my love of this decadent chocolate into the kitchen. The recipes have now been posted on the Green & Black’s Canada Facebook page and one lucky recipe will be recognized as the first place winner!

I pondered different recipes for quite some time and eventually decided on a light and fruity tiramisu. Traditional Tiramisu uses flavours of coffee and rich mascarpone cheese to create quite a heavy, decadent dessert. I decided to lighten it up by using flavours of orange and raspberry blended with the rich complexity of dark chocolate.
