Late August is quite possibly my favourite time of year. It’s gloriously hot during the day. It’s nice and cool at night. It gets dark early enough that kids get to sleep at a reasonable hour. What more could a mother ask for?
Well this August, children and parents alike get to enjoy an extra special treat…the official relaunch of Kinder Surprise in Canada complete with an all-new Kinder Surprise 2012 Toy Collection! And since I have recently been awarded the title of Kinder Mom, I get to tell you all about it!
Kinder has chosen a group of fabulous mothers across Canada to become Kinder Moms, moms that love kids, chocolate and playtime as much as Kinder Surprise does. I am so honoured to have been chosen as a Kinder Mom and in addition to getting some special perks and privileges, I will also be able to share fun news and information about Kinder Surprise with my readers for the next three months!
Of course, the biggest news right now is the new toy collection and it looks absolutely fantastic! From jungle animals that measure a full 22 cm to inflatable balloon pets to fancy flying planes, there are more ways than ever to have fun with Kinder Surprise! I can just imagine how excited my son will be the first time he gets one of the brand new pull-back Rally Cars in one of his Kinder Surprise eggs!
What I have always loved so much about Kinder Surprise is how it makes an ordinary day more special. It can be so easy to rush through the day without stopping to enjoy the little pleasures of life, but kids can be a great source of inspiration to stop and smell the roses. Seeing how excited children can get about a small treat is the perfect reminder to any adult that the little moments truly are the ones to be treasured.
And while we often add a smile to our son’s day with a Kinder Surprise, there are so many other ways to take a little time for play in the course of a day. One of the ways I add a little fun to our day is by showing my kids how the natural items around us can be used as playthings as we make our daily errand walk.
I’ve lived in the same small town all my life and I still remember how much I loved the trees and plants in our town when I was a child. From the seeds on the ash trees that spin like little helicopters when you throw them in the air to the wild grass that has a top like a feather, the simple gifts of nature are positively magical when you’re a child and I love sharing them with my own children! And yes, every once in a while we make the day extra special by ending our walk at the store and picking up a Kinder Surprise!
If you love Kinder Surprise as much as I do, why not head over and check out the Kinder Canada Facebook page?
