Dance Through Your Day with Rascal Flatts Changed

I review children’s music all the time but it’s not very often that I get the chance to review a CD for myself. So when I was given the chance to review the new Rascal Flatts CD Changed thanks to One2One Network, I was pretty excited. Growing up on the Saskatchewan prairies just a few minutes away from the site of one of Canada’s biggest country music festivals, I’ve been a fan of the group for years and I couldn’t wait to hear what their new album was like.

Rascal Flatts Changed Cover ImageThe CD contains eleven songs and really has an amazing combination of different musical styles. The title track opens the CD and in addition to its mellow, inspiring melody it also had a great message about love, forgiveness and aspiring to be a better person.

The CD quickly got a little sexier with the more rocking and upbeat song Hot In Here, and I found myself dancing in my chair as I listened. She’s Leaving was similarly upbeat and despite being performed by an all-male country band, it was very much a song that empowered women, which immediately made it a favourite in my book!

I think my favourite track on the CD was Come Wake Me Up, though. I’m a sucker for country ballads and this one was heart-wrenchingly beautiful. It was a typical country ballad about losing someone you love but the melody was just stunning and I loved it.

Overall, Rascal Flatts Changed was an energetic, enjoyable listening experience for me. I really liked putting it on in the afternoon to listen to while I cleaned up the house; it made my daily chores a lot more enjoyable! If you’re a Rascal Flatts fan or just love a good country music CD, check out this new release for yourself. It’s got great variety and catchy songs to keep you grooving through your day!
