Seek and Find Gets Personalized with Find Me If You Can Books from Bammco-Giveaway

My boys love seek and find books but while Zackary, at six years of age, is quite talented at finding tiny characters in a busy, jumbled picture, Benjamin, at three, often gets frustrated after a few minutes. Of course, he insists on searching anyways because if his big brother is doing something, then he wants to do it too!

Add Extra Frightning Fun to Halloween with Customized Items from Zazzle-Giveaway

Halloween is one of my very favourite holidays and I usually tend to go a little overboard when it arrives. From an annual costume party the weekend before with some good friends to elaborate outdoor decorations to fun costumes for the boys, I just can’t resist getting into the spooky spirit.

Personalized party invitations, adult and children’s costumes…there are just so many fun Halloween items to choose from! I was lucky enough to get to pick out two personalized trick-or-treat bags for my boys and I couldn’t wait to see how they would look.

The hardest thing about shopping at Zazzle is choosing a design from the thousands that are available but fortunately, the handy search feature made it easy to find just the images I wanted. My boys tend to be a bit competitive if they receive different items so I was thrilled to find two identical canvas bags featuring different monsters. Kids love feeling special and one of the best ways to let a child know that you think they’re important is with a personalized item. I’ve received some gorgeous personalized books and clothing in the past but recently I got a chance to review something even better: personalized dishware!

He isn’t quite old enough to recognize his name so I knew that having a picture of himself on the plate and bowl would be especially fun for him. I loved how I could choose his hair, eye and skin colour, hairstyle and even optional glasses to get a perfect little Benjamin character for my dishes. I also liked the way that I could choose both a background colour and pattern for the plate and bowl. I love personalized items and personalized books are probably one of my favourites because they’re such a great way to get my boys involved in the story I’m reading. Easy Customized Baseball Hat Craft

If you’re looking for a fun craft to make with your kids, why not try your hand at a customized hat? They’re inexpensive, quick to make and look amazing! In fact, I just made a dozen of them for party favours for my son’s birthday party!

Customized Baseball Hats

Materials:

Hat (I bought a plain red hat at Dollarama for two dollars)

Felt in your desired colour

Scrap paper for template

Pen or fine-tipped marker

Welbond Universal Adhesive or felt glue

Instructions:

Draw or print and cut your desired shape out of paper and test the size on the hat. This craft works best if the design stops before the upper curve of the cap.

Place paper cutout on felt and trace the design with pen or a fine-tipped marker.

Cut the design out of the felt and glue it to the hat with Welbond Universal Adhesive or felt glue. Set aside until glue is dry.

Total Cost: $2.50 (approx.)

And just like that, you’re done! As you may be able to tell, my son’s party has a Super Mario Bros. theme, but these hats would be wonderful with all kinds of logos for party favours, sports teams or just for dressing up at home! Why not whip one up for your child this weekend?

Children’s Music Gets Personalized with Just 4 Me Songs-Giveaway

Personalized products are so much fun and when they feature characters that my boys know and love, they’re even better! Zackary and Benjamin are both big fans of music and that’s why I was thrilled to learn about the CDs from Just 4 Me Songs, fun personalized children’s CDs sung by an assortment of popular characters. Benjamin has been enraptured by Mickey Mouse lately, so I decided to get him the Sing Along with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy CD to review.

He was so amazed that Mickey, Minnie and Goofy were talking to him and he had a great time listening to the songs. There was a fun mix of classic children’s tunes like Take Me Out to the Ball Game and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as well as songs that everyone associates with Mickey Mouse like the famous Mickey Mouse March. Benjamin enjoyed all of them and he even sang along with some of his favourite classic songs as he listened. I had such a good time watching his face as he listened to Mickey saying his name!

Just 4 Me Songs CDs are also available with a child’s name sung by Elmo, The Wiggles, the characters from VeggieTales or the Disney Princesses! There really is nothing more exciting for a little one than hearing a beloved children’s character singing songs especially for them and since you can listen to samples of the songs on the website when you order, it’s easy to pick the one that’s perfect for your child.

My son was delighted by his CD from Just 4 Me Songs and even his older brother had fun listening to it. It was a neat new way to enjoy music together and it really made the CD special when Benjamin heard his name.
