Holiday Gift for the Overworked Adult
Being a parent is stressful at the best of times. During the holidays, it can get far, far worse. Between budgeting for gifts, planning family outings and juggling get-togethers, time is short and tension is high. I love Christmas. I really, really do. I love it so much that we usually take a tradition from the days of old and celebrate for a full 12 days. But I still feel the pressure of the season, and I knew I needed a way to decompress. The question was, how?
That’s when I learned about Prescription Audio. This unique company offers audio recordings with an incredible vibrational therapy program that can help listeners to relieve stress, sleep better, lose weight and achieve deep delta meditation. I was thrilled when I was given a chance to review some of the company’s programs for myself.
I received the Stress and the Meditate programs to review. The Stress program contains five tracks for different times and situations that range in length from an 8-minute quick relax program to a 24-minute track for daily use. I loved the way that the tracks included audio programs for morning, evening and daily uses, and I put on the 8-minute quick relax right away to see what the program was like. The Prescription Audio program incorporates four different levels of sound to create an audio experience that is unlike any other relaxation program. First, the binaural beats, or binaural tones, influence the brain through the entrainment of brainwaves, and are used to produce relaxation and other health benefits. The sensational sounds of nature such as running water and birds are used to provide a connection to Mother Earth and the serenity of the outdoors. The moving tones of perfectly pitched silicon crystal bowls balance electromagnetic energy in the body and bring every cell into resonance with healing and vitality. Finally, unique musical scores are created around the other three levels to provide harmony and listening pleasure without interfering with the overall effectiveness of the vibrational therapy.
I listened to the 8-minute quick relax with my husband, and when it ended I felt absolutely amazing. Despite the lateness of the hour, I was energized and focused and felt ready to go. In fact, my husband and I both enjoyed the track so much that we immediately put on the 24-minute evening program!
I listen to at least one of the 24-minute programs each day, and I love how relaxed and at peace I feel when it ends. The benefits literally last for hours and make such a difference in my day. I also often listen to the energizing 15-minute relaxation track first thing in the morning. Even when the kids are awake and I’m rushing around getting ready to take Zackary to pre-kindergarten, the background audio makes the process so much more enjoyable. I was so excited to find that I noticed a decrease in my stress level even when my noisy household made it impossible to properly relax and follow the program!
I also reviewed the Meditate program, which contains two 50-minute tracks, Labyrinth and Passage. These meditation programs are unguided and feature soothing chants in addition to the other audio elements of the track. I recently learned how many benefits meditation provides to mental and emotional health, so I was excited to learn that the program helped to achieve a deeper meditative state more quickly.
I listened to the Labyrinth track first, and I was amazed at how quickly I felt completely at peace as I listened. I loved the fact that the program was unguided so that I could let my mind move at its own pace. Sitting back and listening to the Labyrinth program was one of the most involving and relaxing processes I could ever have imagined. The only downside to the experience was the fact that it takes 50 minutes. As much as I try, I find it hard to find that hour to sit down without interruption and enjoy the program.
Because the vibrational therapy needs to be delivered directly into the ears for proper benefits, headphones are essential to gain the maximum results from the system. I used the recordings both with and without headphones and while I enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing experience both ways, the lowered stress levels did seem to last much longer when I used the headphones.
Prescription Audio’s unique vibrational therapy programs would make a wonderful gift for any overworked friend or family member this holiday season. The ease of the program makes it appropriate for almost anyone and with regular use, some people have reported amazing changes in their stress levels and clarity of thought. This holiday season, why not give the gift of relaxation and peace from Prescription Audio?
