Rafflecopter-What’s Your Opinion?

Yesterday, I received one of the much-coveted invitations to test out the new giveaway platform Rafflecopter. I’ll definitely be trying it out on a few giveaways in the near future, but I also want to hear from you! After all, I’m not the one entering the giveaways, though I do enter giveaways on other sites sometimes and have been pretty pleased with Rafflecopter so far. What do you think? Is Rafflecopter the way to go, or is good, old-fashioned blog commenting just fine? Let me know!

  1. I love entering giveaways on rafflecopter – especially on WP blogs. So quick. There is NOTHING worse than the “slow down, you are posting too quickly” message. But I wonder what it’s like for the blogger. I’m too scared to try it because I don’t want to get addicted to the crack and then have them start charging a fee.

  2. I know change is good, but I like the old way better. It seems that Rafflecopter has lots of glitches and I don’t see where it’s faster if I still have to enter a comment as a mandatory entry anyway. I’ll enter giveaways that have Rafflecopter once in a while, but will also avoid them if I don’t want to put up with the hassle.

  3. It personally has to many glitches for me, if it would work properly it would be faster, but some blogs there is trouble loading it and others it will not take your tweet, sometimes it shows you haven’t entered, like your way right now!

  4. I really love it. I am not a blogger, but as a user, I find it faster, easier and less likely to do a double entry as can happen with the old way of leaving multiple comments. I do agree that there are bugs that still need to be worked out and when that is done, it will really be great. I don’t understand bloggers that require both a comment and rafflecopter as that seems to defeat the purpose of having rafflecopter in the first place. One thing that I do like about rafflecopter (one that is working correctly) is that you can come back and do the items you forgot to do or did not have time to do at the time and it keeps track of where you are and it highligts in green the items that you can do repeatedly, such as a Tweet. All in all, if I ever get around to having my own blog, I will definitely use rafflecopter over the old comment method.

  5. I am not a blogger so do not have any experience from that standpoint, but as a reader I love it. I am much more likely to enter a giveaway if done with a rafflecopter form!

  6. I don’t like it. I don’t understand how people say it is faster and easier. Many blogs want you to leave a comment plus fill out the rafflecopter. How is that faster, now you are doing two things instead of one.
Half the time I do whatever I need to, then I get the oh noes and it doesn’t work.
    I don’t like it.

  7. It is much easier and less time consuming to use and keep track of my entries. I do wish they made it easy to search for your entry in case you cleared your cookies on your pc and cannot remember if you entered yet.

  8. I’ve been really enjoying entering the Rafflecopter giveaways. I find it much easier. At the same time, I haven’t gone back to try to do daily entries on the rafflecopter giveaways. I just got an invitation, but haven’t used it yet on my blog.

it is defiantely faster and easier, but they have glitches to work out, if you clear your cookies or browser (regular computer maintenance) you have to redo the mandatory to do daily tweet entry, and some days the “green” buttons that you have already done are lit up again and it makes you wonder if they actually registered, and there is no way to correct a mistake if you make one, i think when they get it worked out it will be fun , and fast. I also wonder if it helps with people cheating?? it would be great it it could stop all that by recognizing ip addresses, i would soo love if the cheating on the blogs would stop ! so for the most part i say it will be GREAT

  10. At first, it was blah, I mean it has its bugs that they are working on, I suggest, if you use it leave an extra entry on the first spot, because it likes to clear the cache, and act as if you have yet to do any of them. This making it harder to get to the daily tweet! I notice more people are entering the giveaways on the rafflecopter, because it is so much easier.
