Kitty litter is something that I didn’t have to worry about for a long time. Since I was either pregnant or breastfeeding for a solid six years, my husband was the one that always handled the cleaning and replacing of the cat litter. But about six months ago I weaned my son and litter became something I could actually deal with once more. Lucky me.
Our litter of choice was Arm & Hammer Double Duty litter and I loved the way it kept odour down in the litter box so when I got the chance to be a part of Arm & Hammer’s Litter Bustin’ Panel and test out the new Arm & Hammer Ultra Last litter I was intrigued. This new litter claimed to last longer because every piece of litter has odour-fighting power. I couldn’t wait to see how it worked.
Our cat is a fastidious little thing but when she uses the litter box…we know it! The first few minutes after she’s done her business can be noticed throughout our little house. Fortunately, the Ultra Last litter took care of the smell within about ten minutes, thank goodness! And once the smell had faded, it didn’t come back even days later.
I also liked the Arm & Hammer Ultra Last litter because it lasted for such a long time. My husband filled the box with litter weeks ago and because each granule is coated with baking soda and deodorizers, he could just remove the clumped and used litter and leave the remaining litter in the box. Aside from occasionally adding a bit more litter to ensure there was enough, our cat has been using the same litter for three weeks now!
If I’m going to have to occasionally clean our cat’s litter now, I want the job to be as easy and pleasant as possible and the new Arm & Hammer Ultra Last cat litter does a good job of fulfilling those requirements. Give it a try and see how long it lasts for you!
