Zackary is taking a three-part children’s gardening course on Mondays and yesterday, he brought this home for me! Not only did he paint the flowerpot, he transplanted the plants too!
If you have a Wordless Wednesday post, please link it up below; I’d love to check it out!
I love it! In hopes that winter will one day leave we planted some flower seed indoors the other day to transplant. My little one was absolutely delighted today when looked and the morning glory had sprouted!!
Lol! I used to have that same problem. It depends a lot on the type of plant too though. Zackary seems to have good skills; he gave me a flower he planted two years ago in pre-K and it lived for over a year in its little pot!
That’s awesome!!! You can never be too young to get involved in gardening ๐ I always loved helping out in the gardens when I was little and it sounds like he has a natural green thumb! ๐ So cute!

Oh how fun! During the first class, the kids planted radishes and tomatoes and Zackary was the same way when he saw the radishes had sprouted! ๐

Can he share his green thumb with me?!
Kathryn says
Lol! You got it, Amanda!
Margarita Ibbott ~ @DownshiftingPRO says
I should get my kids to do this. I have a very brown thumb….
Kathryn says
With indoor plants, I tend to be the same though I’ve gotten better over time. Outdoor gardens are more where my strengths are!
Deborah / Mom2Michael says
That is so great! Kids love to see things grow. Great job!
Kathryn says
They do! And it is really kind of magical when you think about it. I rather love seeing it myself!
Misfit Momma says
I’d have those plants dead in no time ๐ I suppose I do not have the gift of the green thumb.
The ones my kids bring home for me are always small and in little paper cups!

I totally agree, Brandi! I love growing our vegetable garden every year and the boys have always been a part of it; such a great skill for the future!
