It’s just a few more days until my boys head back to school and while I’m excited, I’m also nervously making sure that they have everything that they need. When I was younger, having five kids in the household meant that our budget was usually spent on school supplies and a new wardrobe simply wasn’t something we did. Hand-me-downs were how we updated our clothing!
Probably partly as a result of that, I’m a bit of a fashionista these days. And while my boys may be energetic, active kids, they’re also just as fashionable as their mom, something I have to admit I love. While it may be somewhat irritating to me that Zackary won’t just wear those jeans with a tiny rip in the knee, I also appreciate that he actually looks at the clothing he’s choosing each day. Needless to say, a back-to-school wardrobe update is something that is most definitely on my agenda!
But my boys are also typical boys and that’s why I was so excited to be given the chance to do my back to school clothing shopping at Sears this year! It wasn’t just the trendy fashions that had me excited; it was the Kidvantage Lifetime Wearout Warranty! If the children’s clothing I purchase at Sears wears out at any time, I can take it in with the receipt to get it repaired or replaced. But the best part is that the warranty applies even if Benjamin is wearing one of Zackary’s outgrown outfits. As long as a kid in the family is wearing the clothes, Sears will replace the worn-out item. Now that’s great value and something I greatly appreciate!
To help you get your kids ready for heading back to school, Sears is hosting an incredible Back We Go Facebook contest right now! Entrants have the chance to win daily prizes of $50 Sears gift cards or one of five weekly $500 Sears gift cards! The contest ends September 5, 2013; so if you haven’t entered yet, make sure you do!
My back-to-school shopping experience at Sears was an absolute blast and thankfully both my boys trust my taste enough that they let me pick out their clothing, which means I can enjoy a quick and quiet shopping trip (and maybe even take a minute to check out the new makeup selection)! After stocking up on long-sleeved t-shirts, underwear and an extra pair of jeans for each of my boys, I splurged on a few things I couldn’t resist including button-up plaid shirts for each of my boys and an adorable down vest for Zackary. But the best part is that not only will my boys be heading to school in style, they’ll be wearing clothes that are guaranteed for as long as my kids can wear them. Now that’s fashion that moms and children can both appreciate!
