September on Disney Junior has New Episodes of Favourite Shows and a Magical Mermaid Contest #DisneyJuniorMom

Summer is ending and kids are back in school, but that doesn’t mean that the fun is over! In fact, between extra-curricular activities, after-school playtime with friends and plenty of outdoor autumn adventures in store, the fun is just getting started for most kids! And that’s especially true at Disney Junior. With new episodes of your child’s favourite shows and a fun and magical contest little ones will love, September couldn’t be more exciting.

The good times kick off with brand new episodes of Justin Time debuting on Sunday, September 8 at 8:30am EST. Kids will love watching Justin and his friends head off on global adventures and it’s sure to make them want to go exploring on their own too! My boys, as born explorers, are especially big fans of the show. And after watching an episode, I generally find the two of them roving through the back yard acting out an imaginary global adventure of their own!

Next, on Sunday, September 15 at 11am EST, the little doctor in your household will be able to watch new episodes of Doc McStuffins! I have to admit; I didn’t think that my boys would enjoy this show as much as they did. Boy, was I wrong! Zackary and Benjamin absolutely love watching the adventures of Doc and her toys as she cures them of all kinds of booboos. And with new episodes just weeks away, I have a feeling we may need to be investing in a dress-up doctor’s outfit soon!

Personally, my favourite part of the upcoming September line-up is the return of The Little Mermaid series to Disney Junior weekdays starting September 16 at 8pm EST! The Little Mermaid was my very favourite movie when I was younger and for months I used to spend every recess singing the songs from the movie with my best friend. To this day, I know every word of every song in The Little Mermaid.

And thanks to our family’s recent trip to Disneyland, my boys have been introduced to Ariel too! The Ariel’s Undersea Adventure ride in California Adventure was hands-down one of our favourites and was the boys’ first time learning about Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian. I think the new series may just be one of those shows that we can all watch together!

To celebrate this exciting series return, Disney Junior has an incredible contest that you won’t want to miss. One lucky Canadian family will win a round-trip to Toronto to experience Canada’s Private Red Carpet Screening of The Little Mermaid, complete with an Under the Sea Adventure experience at the TIFF Bell Lightbox for your little ones before the show! The prize includes two nights of accommodations, $1000 in spending money and even a special gift bag for the kids! Get all the details about the contest on Disney Junior and enter once a day until September 11, 2013 for your chance at this once-in-a-lifetime mermaid experience!

With so much fun from Disney Junior this month, it will be hard for little ones to be too blue about summer ending. Inspire your child’s imagination with great episodes of their favourite shows about exploring the world and helping friends that are hurting, or indulge in a little nostalgia and curl up with your kids to watch The Little Mermaid and laugh along with Ariel’s adventures. There’s something for everyone this September on Disney Junior, and the chance for a magical mermaid adventure too!

    1. I don’t know if I should be admitting this, Heather, but I totally teared up at the end of the ride when Ariel and Eric waved from the balcony and King Triton was all proud in the ocean with fireworks in the sky. Lol
