No matter what toys are on my boys’ wish list when the holidays roll around, there’s one item that’s always on my wish list…Duracell batteries. At least one or two of the presents my boys receive are sure to need batteries and I can trust Duracell to provide power that lasts all through Christmas. From video game controllers to remote control cars, the most popular toys always seem to be the ones that need batteries!
This year, Duracell teamed up with Hasbro to let me test out one of the hottest toys of the holiday season, along with the Duracell Quantum batteries to power it. The Transformers: Age of Extinction Chomp & Stomp Grimlock is sure to be a favourite with any Transformers fans in the household and with two boys to shop for, this toy was a must on my list!
This dino is sure to inspire ultimate adventures with its light-up eyes and loud roar. The action figure changes from robot mode to dinosaur mode in just one easy step, a huge plus for younger children. And the included Optimus Prime figure can ride Grimlock into battle and unlock electronic lights, sounds and pop-out weapons! Grimlock is compatible with other Transformers: Age of Extinction One-Step Changers and Power Battlers figures too.
The toy requires two AAA batteries to power the fun and with Duracell Quantum batteries I know that my youngest son will be able to play with Grimlock as long as he wants. And if you have a child that would be delighted to find this toy under the tree, Duracell and Hasbro are here for you! One lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader is going to win their own Transformers: Age of Extinction Chomp and Stomp Grimlock action figure, a $90 value! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about your child’s current favourite battery-powered toy.
Because Duracell Canada wants to power smiles for children in need as well, the company has created a fabulous partnership with Children’s Miracle Network. Duracell has donated a year’s worth of batteries to children’s hospitals across Canada and additionally, for every package of Duracell Quantum or Coppertop batteries purchased at Walmart until December 31, 2014, the company will donate twenty cents to Children’s Miracle Network, up to a maximum of $150,000! No matter what toys are under your tree this year, making sure there are plenty of Duracell Quantum batteries in the house will ensure smiles on Christmas morning while helping to power smiles for other children as well!
