Chocolate Covered Triscuit Crackers Make a Delicious Holiday Gift

December 12, 2017 by Kathryn 13 Comments

Ever since I was a child, Triscuit crackers have been my very favourite crackers. I love the crunch and texture of the whole wheat squares and I often have them with a few slices of cheese and some fresh veggies for a light lunch.

I’ll always have a special place in my heart for the original Triscuits, but I also adore the different flavoured crackers that are now available. The Roasted Garlic Triscuits are perfect for a charcuterie board. And the Balsamic & Basil crackers have the most addictive tangy-sweet flavour.

So, when Kraft Canada asked me to share my favourite peanut butter recipe, choosing just one was no easy job! But I was in a nostalgic mood and craving something sweet, so I chose my very favourite foolproof Butterscotch Peanut Butter Confetti Squares recipe!

Smoked Maple Butter Tarts with Sea Salt are a Taste of Canadian Delight

August 15, 2017 by Kathryn 104 Comments

Butter tarts are one of the most popular Canadian desserts of all time, and with good reason! The sweet, rich, caramel-like flavour of a butter tart is pure bliss.

But the butter tart is also a great dessert for experimentation! Whether you top a butter tart with chocolate ganache or mix in candied bacon, the results are sure to be delicious.

I’d never really put my own twist on the butter tart, though, so when Breville sent me The Smoking Gun, a unique smoke infuser that let me add real wood-smoked flavour to foods without a lot of effort, I decided to use it to make my own unique butter tart recipe. And my Smoked Maple Butter Tarts with Sea Salt won rave reviews from everyone that tried them! [Read more…]

November 25, 2016 by Kathryn 26 Comments

I absolutely love holiday baking, and I’ve mentioned before that I often go overboard making sweet treats for family and friends during the holidays. But because I’m a busy mom, I do tend to favour quick and easy recipes over fussy and finicky ones. In fact, one of my favourites has always been a simple cracker brittle made with nothing more than crackers, butter and brown sugar.

Super Easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Cracker Brittle Recipe
