My youngest son has been a bit of a footwear aficionado every since he was a baby. Older Children Will Run and Play in Comfort with pediped Flex Footwear

This year Benjamin started playschool and he was so excited about it. Finally he got to have all the things his brother had: a backpack, a lunch box and, of course, a special pair of school shoes. So when pediped gave us the chance to review a pair of the new fall pediped Flex runners, I was thrilled.

See Kai Run Spring/Summer Collection-Review and Giveaway

As some readers may remember, Benjamin recently started wearing shoes for the first time. To my complete surprise, his initial experience has developed to the point where he has become a bit of a “shoe diva.” He loves to march around in different footwear, from his brother’s oversized boots to my only pair of fancy dress heels to his dad’s floppy sandals. Occasionally, he finds a pair of baby shoes that he has outgrown, and he gets incredibly angry when I try to explain that the shoes won’t fit on his feet!

At least part of the reason for this fetish is the fact that Benjamin recently received a pair of sandals from the iconic children’s shoe company See Kai Run. The footwear this fabulous company provides is designed to be the absolute best and from the way Benjamin reacted when he tried on the sandals, there is no doubt in my mind that their reputation is well-deserved.

I received the Evan sandals in a size 7 to review. These adorable fisherman-style sandals are part of the See Kai Run spring/summer collection and are just adorable. The chocolate leather features white stitching that adds great contrast and the rubber soles add superior traction to the shoes. Finally, the adjustable velcro closures make the shoes both easy to put on and easy to tighten or loosen to properly fit a child’s foot.

One of the things that makes See Kai Run footwear so special is that it is designed to be immediately comfortable, without the break-in period that most shoes require. With a combination of buttery-soft leather and a flexible rubber sole that doesn’t hinder developing feet, the shoes feel great the very first time they’re worn.

When I put the sandals on Benjamin, he hopped up at once to try walking in them. The rubber sole was heavier than the the soles of shoes he was accustomed to, and his first few steps were fairly hesitant. Once he walked off the carpet and onto the hard kitchen floor, however, he fell in love with his See Kai Run sandals. He took a few steps on the floor and then stopped in surprise when he heard the thumping sound his feet made as a result of the rubber soles. He beamed from ear to ear and sped across the floor, thumping his feet as loudly as he could. From that moment on, he couldn’t get enough of his new sandals.

See Kai Run also has a new line of organic cotton socks and I received a two-pack of socks to review as well. I chose the Pure Argyle print, and it was even more adorable than the website pictures! The cream-coloured socks with light blue and dark brown patterns are so preppy; on a toddler they are just absolutely heart-warming. The socks are so soft and comfortable, and add that little extra special touch to any outfit I pair them with.

See Kai Run also carries sneakers, dress shoes and boots in so many adorable styles that choosing which ones to buy can be the hardest part of the shopping experience. But no matter which pair catches your eye, the comfort, durability and detailed workmanship that are indicative of the See Kai Run line will be incorporated into the style.

I love the Evan sandals, partly because they look so adorable but also because Benjamin enjoys wearing them so much that I know they are a good choice for his little feet. With the weather we have had in Saskatchewan, he hasn’t had a chance to wear them outside yet, but with his new-found love of footwear, he has put the shoes to a thorough test right here inside our house! I especially love what great grip the sandals provide; unlike some other shoes for babies, there is no chance of Benjamin slipping on a slick surface. Eleven Shoes Rolando Sandals

If there is one constant truth about raising a child, it is that high-quality footwear always makes life easier. When Zackary first learned to walk, I learned very quickly that children are hard on their shoes. The older he got, the more demanding he was to his footwear. Children may outgrow shoes quickly, but in the short time the shoes are used they are expected to withstand more abuse than adult footwear sees in years.

Finding high quality shoes in a department store is no easy task. In fact, it can sometimes be downright impossible. Thankfully, Eleven is there to offer the best possible footwear for a growing child in a convenient online store that lets parents pick and choose the perfect shoes and have them shipped right to the front door. I was recently lucky enough to be able to review a fabulous pair of sandals from Eleven’s new Spring/Summer collection.

I received the boys’ Rolando sandals in brown to review. These sandals are a delicious dark chocolate shade of leather with white accent stitching and a creamy off-white interior color. Zackary had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of his fancy new footwear, and was ecstatic when I let him sit down and pull them out of the package. “My nice, new sandals, Mom!” he cried as he grabbed them out of the box.

Of course, he had to try them on right away. I loved the nice long length of the Velcro closures. Instead of just using a small square, Eleven put a two-inch strip of Velcro on the strap of the sandal to offer an extra degree of customizable fit that I haven’t seen in children’s footwear before. As soon as I had the sandals on Zackary’s feet, he started marching around the house to test them out.

One of the things that makes Eleven footwear so unique is that it doesn’t require a wear-in period. Watching Zackary, it was obvious to see that he found the sandals extremely comfortable. He happily wore them on every possible occasion for the next two weeks, and even figured out how to open and close the Velcro closure himself so that he could put them on without waiting for me!

The sturdy and flexible rubber sole of these sandals make them the perfect choice for high-energy activities. Zackary loved to wear them to the park because of their superior comfort and great grip. He immediately takes off every other pair of shoes he owns the moment we reach the park, but he never took off his Eleven sandals. The great grip makes them perfect for the always-popular childhood game of walking up the slide!

When southern Saskatchewan suddenly faced almost two weeks of snow, rain and freezing temperatures in early May I had to put a temporary stop to Zackary wearing his sandals outside, but he had become so fond of them that he occasionally put them on indoors just for fun! He also used them as his indoor shoes at playschool. The class has a large smooth floor that they use for gym-time, and the great grip of the Rolando sandals was once again a fabulous asset. Zackary never had to worry about skidding on the slick floor when the class was playing tag.

The Spring/Summer Collection also features trendy dress shoes, trainers and even boots for both boys and girls.
