Kids Are Always Picture Perfect and Ready to Play with Peekaboo Beans

November 19, 2016 by Kathryn 33 Comments

When it comes to clothes for kids, there’s no shortage of options these days. Boys and girls alike can head to school sporting anything from discount finds to designer brands. As a fashion fan, I’ve splurged on my fair share of trendy threads for Zackary and Benjamin. But there was always something missing from any clothing I chose. Stylish looks lacked comfort. Comfortable clothes wore out too quickly. And perhaps worst of all, the bulk of the clothing I purchased was mass produced in factories that used harsh chemicals and dyes in the manufacturing process.

Then last Christmas, Peekaboo Beans offered me the chance to review a few of its clothing items and from the second my hand touched the thick, durable fabric of the clothes, I fell in love. Less than a year later, I’ve had the chance to become Peekaboo Beans’ newest brand ambassador and I couldn’t be happier about the opportunity.

When it comes to Peekaboo Beans clothing, detail is everything. Founder and mother Traci Costa believes that comfort, style and eco-friendliness should be a priority when it comes to children’s clothing and when she couldn’t find clothes that were up to her standards, she created Peekaboo Beans. These clothes are hands-down the highest quality children’s wear I’ve ever found. And best of all, my boys love the clothing just as much! [Read more…]

Make the Most of Hand-Me-Downs with 3 Tips from Church & Dwight

April 11, 2016 by Kathryn 11 Comments

It’s hard for me to believe, but my oldest son is only one foot away from being as tall as I am. Since he’s just nine years old, I have a feeling he’ll be towering over me as an adult! Pulling out my boys’ shorts and t-shirts after a long winter is always an instant indicator of just how much they’ve both grown. And while I always celebrate the season by buying one or two new pieces of clothing for my boys, I don’t want to spend money on a whole new wardrobe…especially considering how fast kids grow!

That’s why I love these three tips on making the most of hand-me-downs. They’re perfect for ensuring your kids always have great-looking clothes without the high cost!

Stock Up on Children’s Clothing at the Souris Mini Boxing Day Sale

December 25, 2015 by Kathryn Leave a Comment

I’m a bit of a fashion lover and to my delight, both my boys have inherited that trait from me. But actually shopping for clothes just isn’t much fun for me or the kids. Dragging them through a crowded store to try on shirts and pants isn’t something any of us get excited about. Luckily, online boutiques mean that shopping can be a pleasure instead of a pain!

Souris Mini, a Quebec-based children’s clothing boutique, had everything I wanted in a kid’s clothing store. The selection was fabulous. The sizes were ideal for my boys. The fashions were trendy. And the prices were reasonable. Personally, the cuddly Nordic pajamas were a favourite with me, so both boys now have a pair on the way! [Read more…]

Peekaboo Beans Clothing Will Have Kids Excited about Clothes for Christmas

December 21, 2015 by Kathryn Leave a Comment

It’s a sad but true fact that even the most fashion-loving child often has a hard time getting excited about clothes at Christmas. With so many cool new toys, video games and treats filling store shelves, a new shirt or pair of pants just doesn’t seem as exciting by comparison. Unless, that is, the clothing is Peekaboo Beans clothing!

Peekaboo Beans is children’s clothing designed with children in mind. In addition to looking great, this clothing feels great too! Thick, comfortable fabric, easy-to-zip zippers and tagless designs combine to make the fashions clothes that kids actually get excited about! Recently Peekaboo Beans sent my boys each a new outfit so I could experience the clothing’s difference for myself.

Keep Your Child’s Hands Warm in Style this Winter with Sputtens-Giveaway

November 5, 2015 by Kathryn 95 Comments

Today Saskatchewan had its very first snowfall and even though it melted as soon as it hit the ground, I know that soon the ground will be covered for the next few months. I find winter pretty depressing and exhausting at times, but there are a few things I do like about it…Christmas, sledding and, this year, Sputtens!

Sputtens are adorable little mittens crossed with sock puppets so that kids can play as they’re keeping their hands warm. The brainchild of momtrepreneur Shanna, Sputtens were created when she was at her wit’s end trying to find mittens that didn’t fall off (or get pulled off) her little ones. After resorting to old ski socks in desperation and finding they stayed in place better than regular mittens, she refined the design to create mittens that were water resistant and fun to wear as well as functional!
