Stick 2 Me Personalized Labels are Ones Kids and Adults Both Love-Giveaway

August 29, 2017 by Kathryn 74 Comments

If there’s one absolute must that I’ve always emphasised for the back-to-school season, it’s personalized labels. Since my oldest son headed to school for his first day of Kindergarten six years ago, I’ve been obsessed with ensuring that any school gear is sporting a colourful and durable label.

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to test out a few different brands of personalized labels, and they’ve all done a pretty good job of doing what I wanted. But until this year, I’d never heard of Stick 2 Me. So, when I was given the chance to review a Super Pack of the company’s personalized labels perfect for back-to-school, I couldn’t wait to put them to the test.

As soon as I checked out the website to order labels for my oldest son’s new school year, I knew that these labels were going to be something special. The variety was fantastic and even though my oldest is starting to prefer more understated and mature designs, there were plenty of options he loved. After a little deliberation, he chose the Graffiti Sports pack with the Script font for his labels.

The labels arrived in just a few days (a definite plus for those last-minute back-to-school shoppers), and I was thrilled when I looked through the different designs. The quantity and variety of labels in the package immediately set Stick 2 Me apart from the competition. I loved that there were two different large labels for bigger items: the fun shaped label and the large rectangle label. And small rectangle labels came in three different designs as well for lots of variety on smaller items!

I could tell as I was peeling off the labels and sticking them onto school gear that they were going to have great durability. The labels are waterproof and safe for the dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. I liked that the clothing labels were designed to go onto clothing tags so that they could still be removed in the future, since my boys often pass their clothes down to each other. And I was so impressed with how the labels stayed in place wash after wash.

To help you get your little ones off to school in style, Stick 2 Me is very generously offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader their own Super Label Pack, a $40 value! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about what design you would choose for your label package if you won.

The Stick 2 Me labels I received offered everything I want in personalized labels. The labels were durable, the package had more than enough labels for all my son’s school supplies for a great price and, best of all, the company had fun, colourful designs perfect for little and big kids alike. I can’t wait to hear what Zackary’s new classmates think of his labels, and I’m confident that all his gear will make it back home safely thanks to Stick 2 Me!

Help Kids Keep Track of Their Gear with Bright Star Kids Name Labels-Giveaway

March 7, 2014 by Kathryn 74 Comments

Now that my youngest son is in pre-Kindergarten and preparing for Kindergarten in the fall, he has a lot more things for me to keep track of. So I have to put a little extra effort into making sure that all his supplies come home again. I’ve been using customizable labels for a few years now and so I was excited to test out the labels offered by Bright Star Kids. These labels come in a variety of different options for different needs and I ordered the Mega Name Labels Value Kit for Benjamin.

This kit contains everything a parent needs to label almost anything of a child’s. Containing 345 labels of different sizes and types, it’s a great value too. The labels are quick and easy to customize by choosing a colour, a font and an icon. I decided on blue labels with the simple Kiddie font and an alien in a UFO icon for my youngest son. Less than two weeks later, the labels arrived and I was ready to start personalizing some possessions!

With Zackary’s clothing, I’ve always avoided using iron-on labels since so many of his items get passed down to Benjamin. But my youngest son’s clothing generally gets worn out by the time he’s finished wearing it, so I was more willing to use iron-on labels for him. And after losing a scarf at pre-Kindergarten once this winter already, it was clear that his gear could use the identification too! [Read more…]

June 25, 2012 by Kathryn 73 Comments

It’s almost camp season and Oliver’s Labels wants to make sure that all those treasured possessions your kids take to camp come back home again with its incredible camp package. For those that haven’t discovered Oliver’s Labels yet, you’re in for a treat! These labels are fun, vibrant and incredibly durable. And they’re the only labels that feature the innovative Found-it code that helps reunite lost items with their owners!

In April of 2010, shortly after starting my blog, I received a sample package of Oliver’s Labels to review. One of the first places I used a label was on my son’s tricycle and I put the shoe labels into his new leather sandals. Here are a few pictures of those very same labels today. Can you believe they’re more than two years old?

Zippies-Pals That Hang Aroung-Review and Giveaway

June 14, 2011 by Kathryn 243 Comments

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I am definitely not a germaphobe. Kids get dirty, kids share food and kids get sick. I expect it and my boys get sick so rarely that I really do think that the exposure to a variety of mild germs is necessary for building resistance and strengthening the immune system.

But kids also mix things up, lose things and trade things without perhaps getting parental permission first. And when a group of kids all have the same bottle of water or matching lunchboxes, it can be hard to keep track of what belongs to whom.

zippies tazmo tagThat’s where Zippies come in. These ingenious tags are a little bigger than a milk jug lid and feature an assortment of fun faces made from durable and colourful rubber. They are funny, vibrant and easy to see when a child is looking for one of their possessions. I fell in love with the humorous tags as soon as I saw them and I was lucky enough to get the chance to review them for myself.

Zippies are designed to satisfy a variety of needs. First of all, by attaching them to drink bottles or other personal items, Zippies can minimize the spread of germs by ensuring that a child can keep track of his own item. As I mentioned, I don’t have a huge issue with germs, but a few less germs certainly isn’t going to hurt either! Secondly, they provide identification and safety for children with a clever space on the back that fits a name and emergency phone number. And finally, they offer a “cool factor” with fun collectible designs that kids love.

I received the entire collection of Series 1 Zippies, ten different designs, to review. They were a hit as soon as I pulled the first one out of the bag. Every Zippies tag has its own name and personality and Zackary immediately wanted to know what each one was called. Benjamin loved the Zippies as well and chose two of them for himself despite the fact that he doesn’t have many identification needs currently. I put one on his favourite ring of old keys (he loves pretending to be an adult with his keys!) and the other on the arm of his favourite stuffed animal.

Zackary, of course, immediately needed to choose two Zippies as well. He loved the Zippies so much that he insisted on wearing his favourite one on one of the belt loops of his jeans so that he could show it to his friends at Pre-Kindergarten that day! The other went onto his backpack and while Wally, Zackary’s favourite Zippies tag, has been moved from place to place since starting out on his jeans, Chip, his other Zippies tag, remains on his backpack to this day.

I let Zackary’s friend Jocelyn choose a Zippies tag as well and, like any typical three-year-old girl, she quickly dove on the pink and feminine Kayla. She obviously loved her Zippies tag because for days afterwards she would pleadingly ask me for another one when she came to play!

My husband and I weren’t immune to the appeal either. My husband chose two Zippies for his two most important key rings and I chose one for my own set of keys. There was no doubt that Zippies were as fun as they were useful!

zippes first series collectionOne of the things I really loved about the Zippies tags were the way that they could be attached with either the elastic cord and plastic toggle or with the small circular carabiner clip. The different attachment options meant that the tags could be fastened to almost anything, big or small, and stay put until they needed to be moved. The versatility was so handy and Zackary often put Wally on his water bottle when he went to baseball practice to make the bottle easier to identify.

Zippies are an incredibly useful product but I can see from the reactions of my boys, their friends and even my husband that they are also an incredibly trendy product! How fun is it that the cool collectible my boys have fallen in love with can also help them keep track of their stuff? I love Zippies for their durability, their cute design and their handy identification abilities. If you have kids that have trouble keeping track of their things, Zippies are the perfect solution. Not only will they make sure that your family’s stuff makes it home, but they’ll be a hit with your kids! What more could a busy mom ask for?
