As a former vegetarian, I love the taste and the health benefits of lentils. They are a great meat alternative since they’re packed with protein and they’re also full of fibre, something that most Canadians are seriously lacking in their diet. Best of all, they are one of the top crops here in my own home province of Saskatchewan. That’s why I was so excited to hear about the new Love Your Lentils recipe contest!
There are three different ways to enter. If you’re a blogger, create your own original lentil recipe and submit it on the Love Your Lentils site. If you’re a home cook, whip up one of Canadian chef Michael Smith’s recipes and add your own unique twist.
