With March Break on the horizon, parents across Canada are starting to make plans on how to spend those extra days off. While a vacation is always tempting, staying at home can be just as much fun…and a lot less expensive! Looking for staycation ideas for your family? Here are seven tips on how to fully enjoy a staycation (perhaps you can even try one a day), without the stress and exhaustion that international travel can bring.
Easter Break Vacation and Staycation Tips from Church & Dwight
My boys have a week off for Easter Break shortly and I have to say that I’m a little bit torn between putting together a fun little family getaway or just staying close to home. But no matter which choice I make, planning is key. That’s why when I’m deciding between a vacation and a staycation, these tips from Church & Dwight are going to come in very handy!
Vacation
- Getting out of town, sitting on a sandy beach or strolling through city streets is exhilarating. Make sure you look and feel your best, and take lots of pictures to capture the memories.
Tip: For a huge time-saver during your action-packed vacation, try Batiste™ Dry Shampoo in Tropical to tackle oily hair. The light and clean scent will refresh your locks, giving you more time to check out the sights. - The choices are endless. A cruise to the Bahamas? Seeing the Eiffel Tower in Paris? A change of scenery and broadening your horizons is good for the soul.
Tip: Read fellow travellers reviews online. This will give you some great insight and ideas for what to see and do on your vacation. - If you’re going somewhere warm, this is your chance to escape the end of winter’s wrath. Don’t forget to pack all the essentials.
Tip: Get rid of unwanted hair with Nair™ Moroccan Argan Oil Ultimate Roll-On Body Wax. You’ll be left with smooth, soft and hair-free skin for up to four weeks.
Keep Kids Healthy While Travelling This March Break #ONatural
Many families across Canada are celebrating March Break this week, a time to celebrate the end of winter and head off on an adventure! My boys and I are no strangers to travel but even so, keeping healthy on the road can sometimes be a challenge. Both boys occasionally have stomach troubles when they’re sampling the cuisine of another country. And my oldest is prone to carsickness even if we just make a quick day trip to a nearby attraction. It can definitely put a damper on the fun when my boys aren’t feeling their best!
Luckily, about a year ago, I discovered that probiotics are a great solution for stomach health, especially when travelling. I first heard about the importance of probiotics from a food writer friend of mine. She had been on a food tour featuring a multi-course meal of incredibly rich dishes. At the end of the meal, another tour participant gave her probiotics to help her stomach digest the heavy meal. The next day, the two ladies were fine while everyone else was feeling rather ill.

Three Tips for Surviving March in Good Health with IronKids and Adult Essentials
March has to be one of the most difficult months to stay active and eat right. After long days of winter, the only thought in the minds of most parents is when the snow will melt, the sun will shine and the stores will be filled with fresh, flavourful fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, in most parts of the country, those days of playing at the park or whipping up a salad with the spring crop of lettuce are still weeks away. So how can we make sure our families are eating right and exercising?
