If there’s one thing that almost every mom has in common, it’s being busy! From cooking and cleaning to getting kids to extra-curricular activities to helping out at school or in the community, there’s always something to fill a mom’s plate! In our home, I’m out of bed at six in the morning to pack school lunches and make breakfast for my boys. We leave the house at seven to drive to the school bus stop and when I get home at eight, I start work.

Evenings include coaching my youngest son’s soccer team two nights every week, taking my oldest son to baseball three nights a week and still fitting in time to help both boys with homework and cook supper for the family. Needless to say, I’m ready for some relaxation when the boys are finally tucked into bed! And in my opinion, there’s no better evening indulgence than a few Twistos Baked Snack Crackers. With two new light and crunchy flavours now available, Garden Dill & Cream Cheese and Toasted Garlic & Rosemary, they’re the perfect treat for busy moms. Asiago has always been my favourite flavour, but the new dill variety changed that in one bite!

Get Energy for Your Day with Great Tasting GoMacro MacroBars-Giveaway

While there are a lot of energy bars I enjoy, it’s rare to find one that I absolutely love. For my busy lifestyle, energy bars are the perfect quick snack to have in my purse for those times I’m out of the house longer than I expected or for afternoons when I just don’t have the energy to make a healthy snack at home. Recently I had a chance to try the new GoMacro MacroBars, and I was excited to see if they’d be a must-have addition to my cupboard.

I received a box of assorted GoMacro MacroBar Minis to review and I couldn’t wait to test them out. With so many delicious flavours to choose from, picking one to try first was no easy task! I eventually decided to snack on the Protein Purity Sunflower and Chocolate variety, and the dense, chewy texture had me living in bliss from the first bite.

Treat Yourself to More Fibre in Your Diet with #MetaBar Fibre Bars-Giveaway

Over the last few months my weight has been creeping up bit by bit, and that’s something I’m determined to change. My diet is pretty healthy, but my occasional indulgences in a decadent meal or an extra glass of wine have resulted in my being just a little heavier than I would like. So for the last week, I’ve been committing to a healthier lifestyle, including daily exercise, plenty of water and a wholesome diet rich in protein and fibre.

I never realized until I started tracking my food intake just how hard it can be to get the recommended 25-38 grams of fibre daily. Even with a big bowl of bran cereal in the morning and a cup of Metamucil before supper, I still sometimes don’t get enough daily fibre. That’s why I’m so excited about the new Meta Fibre Bars from Metamucil! I have a light snack about twice a day, and these bars are the perfect way for me to add fibre to my diet and get a sweet treat at the same time!

GoGo SqueeZ Fruit Pouches are Great for Kids and the Environment-Giveaway

While I know many parents dread packing lunches, I’ve never minded the job that much. And part of the reason for that is the fact that my boys are very easy to please when it comes to the meals and snacks I give them. A deli meat sandwich, a string cheese stick, pudding and a package of fruit snacks are almost all I need to keep them full and happy. Of course, no lunch is complete without a pureed fruit pouch as far as my kids are concerned!

My family and I are all big fans of snacking and because of that, we love discovering new and delicious snack foods to enjoy. From a savoury new chip flavour to a unique chocolate treat, we’re willing to try almost anything once! That’s why I love the idea of the Treats subscription box service.
