December is here and that means I am in full holiday mode! The tree is up, our new house is strung with lights and I’ve already dressed up Baby Cormac in a sweet Christmas outfit. But the holidays aren’t just about the decorations for me. They’re also about the food! And McDonald’s Canada has introduced some delicious festive menu items that I couldn’t wait to try.
It may still be November, but my mind is already dreaming of holiday cheer and festive celebrations. November can be a dreary month, so I figure it only makes sense to perk it up a bit with a little early merriment.
And I’m so happy that McDonald’s Canada feels the same way! The company recently debuted its festive McCafé cups – which include four designs (stars, mittens, trees and snowflakes) – and a bright red lid to help add a little extra cheer to my morning. Paired with my favourite freshly baked chocolate chunk cookie, it’s the perfect way to start ringing in the holidays.
Even better, McDonald’s is kicking off the giving early too, by offering any size of its Premium Roast Coffee for just one dollar (plus tax) until December 10th! Whether you love your McCafé Premium Roast Coffee black or need some extra sweetness with cream and sugar, this deal is sure to put a smile on any coffee-lover’s face.
I tend to stick to my medium coffee with double cream when I get my morning brew, but I’ll be upgrading to a large for the next few weeks. Getting to enjoy a little bit more and spend a little bit less is a great way to kick of the holiday season in my opinion!
And if you’re looking for the perfect pairing for your McCafé Premium Roast Coffee, try the authentic French croissant, cream cheese Danish or a light and delicious More-Ning McWrap made with scrambled eggs! But in all truth, no matter how you pair your coffee, these festive coffee cups and the money you’ll save over the next few weeks is sure to have you ready to ring in the holidays!
When I was a child, Monopoly was one of my very favourite games. Even though I knew the game could take all day, I thought there was nothing better than sitting down with my family, choosing my favourite race car playing piece and beginning my mission to become a real-estate mogul.
Then, as usual, McDonald’s Canada found a way to make a good thing even better with McDonald’s Monopoly! This contest has always been one of my favourites, and I especially love that it features popular Canadian landmarks to replace the traditional Monopoly properties!
When I was a child, one of my favourite special treats was getting to eat at McDonald’s. I loved being able to climb, run and slide at the McDonald’s Play Place. I loved seeing the fun toy that was inside my McDonald’s Happy Meal. I loved my little box of McDonald’s cookies.
McDonald’s was a somewhat magical place to me, and to this day I still remember how excited I was when one of my friends invited me to a McDonald’s birthday party. Ronald McDonald was usually there and the lucky birthday boy or girl always had a special birthday treat bag. [Read more…]
It’s hard for me to believe that 2017 is flying by so quickly, but in just a few more days it will be Canada’s 150th birthday celebration! There are all kinds of ways people love to celebrate Canada Day and over the years, I’ve tried most of them. Heading out on the lake for a day of boating, hosting friends in the backyard for a barbeque, joining in a large public celebration in the nearest city…choosing my favourite way to spend July 1 is like choosing my favourite thing about Canada: pretty much impossible!
