When I’ve had an especially busy week and Friday rolls around, I absolutely love unwinding with a glass of good wine. There are a few wines that I especially favour but for quite some time, I’ve wished that I could bring out the flavour of the wine I drink properly with an aerator.
I’d heard in the past that all wines are best if decanted, which basically means that the wine is poured into a container to expose it to the air and release more of the aroma compounds. Generally, red wine is at its best if decanted one to two hours before serving and white wine should be decanted about ten to twenty minutes before being poured.
