I’ve said many times in the past that I don’t much like the concept of a New Year’s Resolution. I find that people tend to end up having an “all or nothing” attitude when they make resolutions, which results in many giving up completely at the first misstep. However, I do think that the new year is a great time to set some goals for the coming months. Knowing that success might not be immediate takes off the pressure and lets me move forward at my own pace, something that’s led to my accomplishing many of my goals over the years.
Recently, Special K surveyed Canadians to see how they felt about New Year’s Resolutions and the results showed that I’m not the only one that’s not a fan of the popular tradition. In fact, according to participants, only 23% of Canadians have ever achieved a New Year’s Resolution. That’s not a very good success rate for any goal!
