Lovely Pocket Diapers Rave Cloth Diaper-Review and Giveaway

A few months ago I reviewed one of the affordable diapers from Lovely Pocket Diapers. This fabulous mom-run company offers what every cloth-diapering mama has only been able to dream of until recently: high-quality and affordable one-size pocket diapers. I loved the diaper that I received to review and when I learned that Lovely Pocket Diapers was coming out with a new and better diaper design, I knew I had to try it. I was thrilled when I got the chance to review the brand new Rave diaper from Lovely Cloth Diapers for myself.

When the Rave diaper arrived, I immediately swooned over the too-cute Camo print of the diaper. It was perfect for my adventurous little boy and my husband loved it as much as I did. I knew I had to test it out right away.

The diaper has a few key differences that set it apart from the Classic Lovely Pocket Diaper. The first is that it features an extra row of rise snaps so that the diaper is even more adjustable. With the extra sizing that is gained with the extra snaps, this diaper is suitable for babies from 6-40 lbs! It also features a double row of waist snaps, so it is the perfect choice for an active baby. Finally, the diaper has double leg gussets for superior leak protection.

The features sounded amazing and I put the diaper on Benjamin at once. He spent the next few hours running around playing with his brother and I noticed a big difference in how well the diaper stayed up around Benjamin’s waist. A diaper with only a single row of snaps works well for the first few hours but it can soon start to slide down, especially on a baby as active as Benjamin! The double snaps held the diaper up much better and let Benjamin have even more fun.

The other thing I really noticed was the great leak protection. I find that the Classic Lovely Pocket Diaper works absolutely fabulously for during the day, but when I use it for a nighttime diaper I do occasionally find that Benjamin is a little wet in the morning. I love using the Rave diaper as a nighttime diaper because with the double leg gussets and two microfibre inserts, it is the best leakproof nighttime diaper I have ever used, bar none.

Like the Classic Lovely Pocket Diaper, the Rave diaper comes with one extra-absorbent microfibre insert that can be stuffed into the diaper’s pocket or laid on top of the diaper to use it as more of a cover. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Lovely Pocket Diaper if it didn’t have an absolutely amazing price tag to go with it! I love the Classic Lovely Pocket Diaper but I love the Rave even more. I think that the Classic Lovely Pocket Diaper would be a great choice for younger babies since they don’t wet as heavily and their diapers stay on a little easier. But once your baby starts getting more active, the Rave is the perfect upgrade to ensure that your little ones don’t get a case of “diaper droop” as they’re running around! And when your baby starts sleeping through the night, having a few Rave diapers on hand for nighttime and naps is definitely a smart choice!
