There are plenty of choices when it comes to size, style and storage, but laptop bags generally seem to be designed for middle-aged businessmen. I wanted something that let me transport my laptop without sacrificing my style. I received the Wool Check Red & Black laptop sleevefrom the Stuff collection, the Softy from the Ride collection and the stunning Cory Ferguson sleeve from the new Grassroot Collective collection to review. These bags are absolutely beautiful and the perfect way to accessorize an outfit. I used the adorable Wool Check Red & Black laptop sleeve for the first few weeks and what really struck me about the sleeve was how much it was able to hold. The sleeve contains a padded main compartment for the laptop and a few essential papers and a zippered pocket in the front to hold other needed items. I was able to carry a laptop accessory kit with a portable mouse, USB hub and USB card reader, my charging cord and my webcam all in the convenient and easily accessible outer pocket!
The features and detail of this sleek little sleeve are just incredible. From a side entry laptop pocket that ensures my computer won’t slip out if it is accidentally left open to a clever hidden handle that lets me easily carry my computer with me, the PKG sleeve is designed to be as convenient to use as it is beautiful.
The Softy is bigger and less fashion-oriented than the PKG sleeves, but the extra space make it perfect for a longer journey. With multiple pockets and room for paperwork and bigger accessories, it does a great job of carrying all the essentials I might need for an overnight trip.
But my personal favourite of the three items I received was the stunningly gorgeous Cory Ferguson Grassroot Collective sleeve. The Grassroot Collective line consists of beautiful laptop sleeves with graphics designed by local artists. The unique works of art created by the incredibly talented and often undiscovered artists are simply phenomenal. The Cory Ferguson sleeve is white with a stunning black graphic design that draws heavily on some of the Ontario-born tattoo artist’s experience in “blackwork,” a tattoo form that draws on different art forms including Polynesian tribal tattooing and optical illusions. I loved the incorporation of various feminine elements in the pattern. The flowers, stars and hexagons blended together so beautifully and the bold black and white colours were great because I could match this stunning sleeve with absolutely every outfit.
The basic sleeve design of the Grassroot Collective collection is the same as the sleeves in the Stuff collection; the difference is the stunning and original design. I have never seen anyone with a laptop bag that is as beautiful and unique as mine, and I love that I can carry my computer so stylishly.
