Last year, I reviewed a stunning Prada fragrance for women and I just adored it. Prada Infusion d’Iris Eau de Toilette is now my official signature scent and I love it just as much today as I did when I first spritzed it on my wrists. So when I heard that Prada was releasing a sensational new men’s fragrance called Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense, I was thrilled. My husband loves fragrance as much as I do and after experiencing firsthand the pleasure of the Prada fragrance line I was sure the new release would be incredible. I was thrilled when I was given a chance to review it for myself.
The eau de parfum comes packaged in a classy grey box with a cloth Prada label on the front. The bottle itself is sleek, rectangular and incredibly masculine. The jet-black glass of the bottle is adorned very simply with a stainless steel plaque that contains the fragrance’s name and dominant scent notes. My husband was blown away by the stylish yet manly presentation and decided to test out the scent that minute.
Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense features the incredible traditional and distinctive scents of amber and myrrh along with exquisite timeless ingredients including patchouli, vanilla and bergamot. The resulting combination is powerful, masculine and modern.
Within a few minutes, both of us had fallen completely in love with Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense. Initially, the scent is quite fresh and almost soapy, a trademark of almost the entire Prada fragrance line. After a few minutes, however, the scent develops into a far warmer blend. I found the patchouli and the myrrh were very noticeable at this point, and I loved the sweet spiciness they added to the fragrance.
Because it is an eau de parfum, Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense has incredible longevity. The distinctive sweet note of vanilla is still noticeable at the end of the day, as are the spice notes. The light and crisp bergamot blends the warmer fragrances together beautifully and the total overall effect is just irresistible.
My husband wears this eau de parfum every day without fail, and one of the things that I love so much about it is the way the fragrance changes and develops throughout the day. From a lighter and fresher scent in the morning when he first puts it on to the warm spiciness of the scent in the afternoon to the faint sweetness in the evening, it is almost as if the fragrance changes to provide an appropriate scent for the time of day.
Overall, this eau de parfum really offers it all…lasting power, distinctiveness, warmth and freshness in one unbelievable bottle. Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense is simply incredible. Check it out and see what you think!
