Here’s a brief synopsis:

Bubble Guppies box artCome discover the vibrant 3D underwater world of a group of diverse preschoolers with colourful fish tails in the brand-new DVD, Bubble Guppies. Set to a soundtrack of catchy pop songs, Bubble Guppies infuses the core elements of kindergarten readiness, including: math, literacy, the arts, science and socio-emotional development. The DVD features a special double-length episode, Bubble Puppy’s Fin-Tastic Fairytale, guest starring Wanda Sykes and two additional Bubble Guppies episodes.

My boys have been enjoying Bubble Guppies since it debuted on Nick Jr. so they were very excited to see this DVD arrive at the front door. They loved the featured fairy-tale episode, but the second episode about Gil getting his very own puppy was just as popular with them. Zackary and Benjamin both enjoy the upbeat songs in this series and I appreciate the fact that so much learning is packed into every episode!

The DVD includes plenty of special features including a “Create Your Own Bubble Guppy” game, karaoke music videos and more! I have yet to meet a preschool child that doesn’t adore these fun and colourful characters so it’s no surprise to me that Bubble Guppies was rated as the top preschool series on the air at the end of 2011. Check out the DVD for yourself and see what your kids think of Nickelodeon’s newest show for preschoolers!

  1. My 2 year old daughter – she watches this every day (her chosen show) onDemand. Over every other show this is the one she will always pick without fail! :) Being able to watch it in the van too would be awesome (don’t know how much the 5 yr old will appreciate that though LOL).
