The first long weekend of summer may be over, but summer itself is just getting started! And to help you stay cool and refreshed all season long, Minute Maid and the experts at the Canadian Living test kitchen have created a mouth-watering assortment of drinks and treats guaranteed to beat the heat!
I created the tasty Lime in the Coconut Cocktail last week and it was absolutely scrumptious so I decided to whip up this purple punch recipe for Sparkling Grape Lemonade this week!
I have to admit, I really don’t care much for regular lemonade; it’s too sour to suit me. But the tart citrus taste was absolutely heavenly when blended with the Grape Punch. And the carbonation of the Sprite added the perfect fizzy finishing touch to this purple punch recipe!
For the coolest summer entertaining ever, Minute Maid also has some great tips for your special gatherings:
- Want to make homemade ice-pops but don’t have moulds? Use disposable paper cups and and wooden ice-pop sticks
- Jazz up your glass of lemonade or fruit punch by using frozen grapes as ice cubes
- Don’t like your juices too sweet? Simply add more water to your Minute Maid frozen juice or punch
Minute Maid has lots of other great recipes and summer entertaining tips to help make your summer gatherings the talk of the town, so stop by the website today.

Sparkling Grape Lemonade
Invite the girls over for an afternoon in the garden complete with light snacks and refreshments. For quick and creative centerpieces, place flowers in something other than a traditional vase. Try floating a few fresh floral picks in a small decorative bowl filled with water. For longer stems, place in a colourful pitcher. Make your beverage part of the décor scheme with a batch of pretty purple punch.

I am generally just a water drinker with a touch of lemon but I do enjoy iced tea on a hot day although the sparkling grape-lemonade sounds very good! :-)
My favorite summer drink is cold lemonade with some fresh raspberries floating in it- yum!
I love grape punch :)
This drink sounds so refreshing!
Mmmm i definitely cant wait to try this!
My favorite summer drink would have to be Lemonade!!
I like your recipe and Minute Maid tips, the only thing I never add ice cubes, found it is quite cold for me to drink. I thought it is only me who do not add ice cubes, but talked to my co-worker she does the same. Small world.

You know what, Fan? My husband LOVES icy-cold drinks but I prefer mine without ice too; I find chunks of ice made a drink so cold that it hurts my teeth! But I must say, a few ice cubes in a drink do make a nice-looking picture! lol
My fave summer beverage is a margarita! Or pink lemonade!
That looks really good! I MUST try it, Mmm :)
This sounds delicious! I would have never mixed the grape and the lemonade together (no reason really, I just wouldn’t have thought to do it) lol
Thanks!
