I do not like cleaning. I do it. Some days it feels like I do it all day. But I really, really don’t like it. As a result, I have an absolutely huge collection of cleaners, clothes, scrubbers and other cleaning accessories all designed to make cleaning quicker, easier and more pleasant. So when Rubbermaid gave me the chance to review its new line of Bathroom Cleaning Tools, I absolutely leapt at the chance.
The new line includes a Spraying Scrubber, a Handheld 2-in-1 Scrubber, an Extendable Scrubber and a Flexible Scrub Brush. Three of the four scrubbers featured handy interchangeable pads to tackle a variety of common cleaning needs. I was especially excited to try the Spraying Scrubber; I really liked the idea of being able to just grab the scrubber and start cleaning without having to dig out my cleaning solution every time.
Our bathroom is small but with two careless boys using it every day, it gets dirty pretty quickly. The next time I had to do some cleaning, I grabbed my new bathroom cleaning tools and a bottle of all-purpose cleaning spray and got ready to tackle the job.
I poured cleaning solution into the Spraying Scrubber and started on the sink. I used the scouring pad since the sink had some built-up soap scum and hard water deposits. I really appreciated only having to use one hand to both dispense the product and scrub the sink. I can’t say it made the job fun, but it did make it easier!
I used the Extendable Scrubber and the Sponge Pad to deal with the floor and the shower. It absolutely made scrubbing the shower walls easier and while it worked fairly well on the floor, I think my regular mop would have worked just as well. I did like that I only needed one cleaning device to do both jobs though!
The Handheld 2-in-1 Scrubber was perfect for cleaning around taps and in between tiles. The included detail brush was perfect for scrubbing all the tiny areas that can be so hard to access. And the Flexible Scrubber Brush made it much easier to get the curved edges of the tub and sink clean! I simply extended the flexible portion of the scrubber and the brush would bend to clean curved surfaces in a flash.

Most people automatically jump to the toilet as the worst cleaning job, but I would say they’re wrong. Dead wrong. The worst cleaning job is cleaning out the green bin. The rank odour of half-eaten bacon mixed with slimy chicken parts and gristle from last night’s steak all adds up to a job best left to someone else.
