New DVDs from Kaboom! Entertainment are Perfect for Family Day Fun

February 12, 2013 by Kathryn 100 Comments

There’s nothing my boys love more than getting the chance to enjoy some fun new kids’ DVDs and this February, Kaboom! Entertainment has some fabulous new collections sure to put a smile on any child’s face. With Family Day just around the corner, these Walmart-exclusive DVDs are perfect for a little relaxing family fun!

mike the knight box artTreehouse TV Presents

This series of nine DVDs contains select episodes from some of the top rated kids shows from Treehouse including The Bearnstain Bears, Chuggington, Max & Ruby and Mike the Knight. Available February 12, 2013.

This movie is based on the book series by Francesca Simon and the BAFTA nominated animated series, Horrid Henry. The special DVD package includes a neon green limited edition slime pack. Available February 19, 2013.

jungle book box artThe Jungle Book: The Movie

This movie based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless classic was created and produced by the award winning animation studio DQ Entertainment. The DVD package contains limited edition collectable figurines of Baloo and Mowgli. Available March 5, 2013.

We received a review package containing all three of these titles and the boys were so excited. I tend to receive a lot of DVDs for preschool children so Zackary was especially pleased to have a few titles that were for an older child audience. And Benjamin was thrilled to receive the Mike the Knight: Galahad the Great DVD from the Treehouse TV Presents collection!

But what I loved about these titles was the way that they added a little extra play to our day as well as providing new entertainment. Zackary and Benjamin played with the collectible Baloo and Mowgli figurines for almost an hour, creating their own stories with the two characters. And eventually I cleared off the table so that all three of us could play with the slime, something the boys were still excited about days later!

These titles are the perfect family-friendly way to enjoy a quiet weekend afternoon together and the special bonuses provide inspiration for creative play afterwards. Check out these titles at your nearest Walmart and have a little fun with your family!

I would most enjoy the Jungle book, I think my kids would enjoy Horrid Harry the most. Although since my 8 year old is in Cubs and they are learning how the Cub Pack is based off the Jungle Book story he might enjoy seeing that movie.
