I absolutely adore good coffee and since I’m the only one in the house that drinks it, I’ve started to use my Keurig almost exclusively for preparing coffee each day. I love being able to make as much or as little coffee as I want and the fact that each cup of coffee I drink is always fresh and perfect is a huge plus too.
But all those little K-Cups do create a lot of added waste and so when I heard about the new OneCoffee cups from Canterbury Coffee, I was intrigued. Not only does the company produce Keurig-compatible single-serve cups in a variety of organic, fair-trade coffees including Breakfast Blend, French Roast, Decaf Dark, Columbian, Peruvian, Sumatran, Ethiopian and a Variety Pack, each of the pods contains 40% less plastic than traditional K-cups and is 90% biodegradable! The concept sounded amazing and I couldn’t wait to see what OneCoffee was like.
I received an assortment of the different OneCoffee cups to review and considering how much I love coffee, I was in heaven. Deciding which one to try first was no easy task but I eventually decided to sample the Breakfast Blend. This mellow variety is perfect for those that like a milder coffee. The Ethiopian had a sharper, darker taste and was probably my favourite variety. And the Sumatran had a delicious rich and smooth taste that I loved savouring in the afternoon.
But it was the design of the OneCoffee single-serve cups themselves that I really fell in love with. Rather than being a solid plastic unit, the cups feature a mesh that’s more similar to a regular coffee filter with a plastic top. The cup drops into my Keurig machine and then the water filters through the mesh to brew a delicious cup of coffee without all the waste!
If you’d like to try out these unique organic K-cup compatible single-serve cups for yourself, you’re in luck! Canterbury Coffee is very generously offering one lucky Mommy Kat and Kids reader their very own OneCoffee prize pack worth $75! To enter to win, just leave a blog comment about which variety of OneCoffee you would most like to try.
There’s not much that can make my morning cup of coffee even better but the new OneCoffee cups from Canterbury Coffee found a way to do it! The great variety, rich flavours and social responsibility of these single-serve cups make the start of each day even sweeter. Check them out for yourself and find your favourite!

The breakfast blend sounds like an everyday classic!
I would like to try the Sumatran!
I think the Breakfast Blend is the one I most want to try because I like a mellow type coffee. If it is too strong it tends to taste too bitter to me.
