It always amazes me how quickly summer flies by and back-to-school season arrives, but I have to admit, I can’t help but get excited when I see all the fun new school supplies start to arrive in the stores! This product is small enough to fit in a backpack or large purse easily, which makes it an especially great choice for an on-the-go high school or college student. The scanner works with both PC and Mac computers and comes with cleaning clothes and a sleek black pouch to make transportation easy. The device is USB powered and can scan sheets of up to 8.5” by 14”.

This handy device had a few features that made it especially appealing to me. One was the ability to scan business and ID cards. When I go to a press event or a conference, I inevitably end up with a purse filled with business cards. Some of those cards are more important than others and I love the idea of being able to quickly scan the cards of people I need to connect with in the future as soon as I get back to my room in the evening.

Another feature that I appreciated was the ability to scan a document directly to the cloud using Document Capture Pro. Having my laptop and scanner linked together so that documents I scan will automatically be available on my computer is such a huge benefit for any busy mom. In fact, I’m planning on keeping the scanner by the front door when I’m at home so that I can catalogue all the paperwork my boys bring home from school.
