Work and Education Infographic For Moms

As moms, we already have one of the most challenging and most rewarding jobs in the world. But when kids start to get older, even a stay-at-home mom tends to start thinking about a career outside the home. Whether she’s resuming a previous job or going in a completely new direction, there are all kinds of ways for a mother to enter the work force once more. Recently, Vista College created this interesting infographic about moms, jobs and education.

I had actually recently read about the happiest job industries and while they don’t seem terribly similar, they do have a few things in common. The jobs are challenging, have opportunity for great growth and provide good benefits, which means that doing those jobs would provide that satisfaction of feeling valued and appreciated at work.

I was also interested to learn about the schooling that women could take online in a minimal amount of time to start a new career. I have to admit, I was surprised that it takes less than two and a half years of schooling online to become an accountant. As someone that’s quite good with numbers, this has been a course that I’ve often considered taking if only for my own benefit since I run my own business. It’s nice to know that if I do decided to do so at some point, it won’t require a large time commitment!

The infographic has some great information for any mother that’s considering starting a new career, furthering her education or heading back to work after time away. Take a look and see what you think!
